Our patriarchal society arbitrarily deems some behaviors mature and others immature. Activities--like wearing makeup and having boyfriends--which move girls out of childhood and into womanhood are considered mature. Boys only acquire maturity through "adult" activities like home-ownership or military service, which usually come later in life when many of their female peers have already gone for older men. Is it any surprise then that the patriarchy places more value on behaviors that result in higher-placed members gaining access to younger women's bodies?
All good and valid points as far as they go, but lets stop deluding ourselves. We live in, and have always lived in a Matriarchal society, where women's sexual power and control, dictates gender roles. For years, women took the cushy and safe stay and home role, sending men out to do the dirty and dangerous work needed for our species survival.
It is now, only after men have succeeded technologically beyond anyone's wildest imagination, that the gender feminist, Matriarchal coach, who's always been content with the safe sideline role of criticism, or motivation through berating, or sexual extortion, etc., has become the jealous, green eyed monster now falsely alleging to have been "kept out the game" (successful male roles). Why assume risk, when as "Pocketbook Power" (a book) shows us, women make 80% of retail purchases in America. How, oh how, in the name of the Lilly Ledbetter Equal Pay Act do women get all that money if they only make 73 cents on the dollar compared to men? Note: research women's sexual power over men.
Many women, who've morphed into green eyed, gender feminist monsters (at least subconsciously), enviously covet all the fruits of men's labor more directly, now that they have technology, computers and machines to enrich themselves, instead of men. The weapon of sex that women used for years to force men into the male roles of provider and protector are now used to marginalize all males by using female sexual power and control to manipulate select men (dupes) into lower the status of all men. No commission on the status of men exists outside of the one in New Hampshire, while over 270 women's commission exist in the U.S. To say that women's commissions seek to lower the status of men as much as raise the status of women is an understatement, IMO. To say that the status of men has never been lower is an arguable assertion that I for one, am fully willing to make.
