What do you all think about this?

I am engaged and I live with my man. I earn more money than he does but he pays the bills for our home. I pay mainly for my things (car, college loans) and for the smaller bills. Currently, I do less than half of the cleaning and cooking.

The Gonzman

Lose Equality?

ROTFLMAO

She does less than half the housework, has a degree and career, and pays no bills.

She doesn't have equality. She's a kept woman. She's not pulling her weight as it is.  Staying home and being a homemaker would be a step up - at least she'd be carrying a part of the load.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the Shadow of death, I shall fear no evil, for I am the MEANEST son-of-a-bitch in the valley.

The man that makes this women his wife, should wear a dunce cap, and a fools costume to the wedding.
Even a whole village can't replace dad, children need both parents.

How do I become a wife and a mother without losing my equality?

Just the thought of being trapped with someone like this is sickening.

The Gonzman

Just boggles the mind, don't it?  Hell, she's got to rise to the leval of being an equal partner before she needs to worry about losing it.

But, dadburn it, she's an EMPOWERED FEMINIST!!!

Alltogether now, in the key of A-minor

I am woman,
Hear me bitch;
Buy my records,
Make me rich...

My opinion:  no way is she ready for marriage and motherhood.  I hope for her sake and her man's that she doesn't even attempt it til she experiences a major attitude shift about the whole situation.

Gee, and old "Ask Amy" is the one you held up as an examplar of feminism - and she thinks it's doable.

Oh, yeah.  "We don't always agree."  I keep forgetting the standard cop-out.

Gents - remember the old military maxim - Disperse to advance, concentrate to attack.
