Title: Women Are Morally Superior to Men
Post by: Titurel on Jul 08, 2004, 10:19 AM
http://www.suntimes.com/output/news/cst-nws-fire08.html

"Women who came out of a burning Loop high-rise warning Chicago firefighters that co-workers were trapped inside might not have been ignored if women firefighters had been on the scene to hear their pleas, a Mikva Commission member said Wednesday"

In other words, men suck.  Women would have seen to it that the right thing was done at the right time because... because... men are so used to ignoring the pleas of women.

""I would just open up for the Fire Department's study the gender question: Why aren't there more women firefighters involved on the scene, in the action? There are certainly bright, fit women. If they were an integral part of the Fire Department, shoulder to shoulder with the men, would the pleas of civilian women have gone unanswered? Would a firefighter have said, 'I filed that in my head,' instead of immediately addressing the need to rescue people?""

This shameless bitch is using accidental deaths to propagandize her 'women first' political agenda.  Naturally and as usual the Chicago Sun Times serves as cheerleader and party organ.  There is absolutely nothing to base the assumption on that the mere shining presence of women on the scene would have avoided further tragedy.  Except of course for the widely held belief that women are ipso facto morally superior to men.

While there are certainly problems in the Chicago FD  that need addressing my concerns lie in this:

Why did Cook County Board Prez. appoint Sheila Murphy to the Mikva commission? What are the qualifications there?
Attorney Dan Katin refered to JUDGEMurphy, if this is indeed the case, should all cases presided over by her be examined for simular attitudes of stupidity?

In My Humble Opinion
The Chicago Sun did NOT serve as cheerleader IN THIS PIECE. In fact, the article concludes with two femal survivers attorneys offering polite but clear rebutal to commission member Sheila Murphys unhelpful political platform.
In this case I believe that reporters Fran Spielman and Annie Sweenie should be given kudos for exposing feminist agenda crap in yet another place it just doesn't belong-lest it be just "given a pass"

I can see your point Capt. However...

In the print version of the Sun Times there is a large photograph of Mzz Murphy ON PAGE ONE with a large headline, accompanied by her quote about men ignoring women's pleas in bold red letters beneath.  Story on page 12.  It is obvious (though not so in the on-line version) where the Sun Times editors' sympathy lies.  It is a gross understatement to say that the Sun Times' coverage of womyns issues is always (100% of the time) anti male in the extreme.

Yup, women might not be as strong as men, but since when do you need to be strong to be a firefighter? Carrying people out of burning buildings you say? Pffft. As if that actually happens. Surely you need to be bright and fit rather than strong. It's not as if you have to open pickle jars as a fire fighter, surely it's more important to have a PHD and be able to play tennis or something?

Better yet, let's replace an entire team of firefighters with women! They'd probably save loads more lives and have better interpersonal skills and be much brighter! Sure, they'd have to let fat unconcious people die, but who cares?

But just to de-activate my sarcasm circuits, women tell me these sorts of things all the time:

"Oh, on the 17th of March next year we might get invited to Sophies wedding."

Do I get reminded about this phantom wedding at any time before it actually happens? No. I've been told once and once is enough:

Firefighter: "Aaargh! Joe Help! I'm on fire!"

Joe: "Hold on Larry! Stand back miss by buddy's in trouble!"

Lady: "Some of my friends are inside."

Firefighter: "Thanks Joe! Let's get this fire out!"

Joe: "Sure thing buddy! Hey miss? What's wrong?"

Lady: "If you don't know what's wrong then there's no point in me telling you."
