Whome,

Well, if he has a degree in Psychology I'd believe that. My older sister, divorced/abused/man hating woman of a sister, has her Ph D in Psychology. She annoys the f*** out of me and I hardly want to speak to her anymore. And by the way, she does sound a lot like Dr Phil!

I know a few other Ph D's, as well as MD's, and what I find is as soon as they hear someone is studying Psychology they all roll their eyes, because usually it is some feminist or abuse victim, trying to make a career out of delving into their own troubled past.

I think that's another reason I dislike Dr. Pill.

Personally I think all Psychiatrists  are all frauds. The whole arena of Psy is so scattered, disjointed and subjective how can they call it a science?
I once almost failed a psy class because I would sit in back of the room and snicker at almost everything she said. Finally one day I guess she decided to try her "skills" out on me. She asked, "Why do you snicker like that?".
I told her, "I think that a Psychiatrist is just another nut that knows exactly what's wrong with themselves". It was during the uproarious laughter from the class and the glare she gave me (well balanced you see  ) that I knew it would be useless to try and get an "A" in that class. :D  :D  :D  :D

On another note. After my mother had me in '57 she "suffered" (because the shrinks told her so) from post partum depression.
My Dad told me she saw a shrink once a week, (can you say, "bill padding" ).
He said she would be feeling pretty good until she came back from the "doctor" then she would be depressed again. This went on for a month or so until one day she went to her appt and the SOB has jumped out of his window and killed himself.  :D  :D
Needless to say she missed that appt...never went back and was fine.

When we had TV our youngest was starting to see the crap for what it was. He would get angry that men were treated as they are.

My eldest watched the history channel, discovery, and TNT ( think it was) automotive programs, so he pretty much missed a lot of the bad stuff. He just let it slide by. I never let it when I watched, I would bitch out loud.

We have not had television in almost 2 years. The youngest misses it not. Has never said a word about it. The oldest does miss it, so I am trying to find a way to buy the programs he likes without supporting the advertisers of commercials.

I would ask your wives, if it were about women, could you just sit and ignore the bad parts? If it was about your son, could you just sit and ignore the bad parts?

Same here BQ. I rarely watch any network shows. I watch the Hist Channel, Speed, and Natl Geo...stuff like that.
The wife always has the TV either on old movies..  or network.

Good thing I have a computer AND a TV in my "study".
I told her right from the beginning that I would always have my retreat...with a door that locked when I needed it.

Dr. Phil has a PhD in psychology from ** (I can't remember).

I saw the first show last night. Most of it was OK dating advice stuff. Some of it was SEXIST BIGOTRY.

The bad was his dictionary of what men mean when we say X. THAT, that was contempt for men of the Christian-conservative variety. I shot the finger to the TV which made my wife's eyebrows go up.

My wife knew that I was already having a bad day, which is normal for Dec. 6 (the aniversery of the Lepine murders or "National hate all males day"). I always have a bad day on hate-men days.

Dr. Phil is, in some ways, far more bigoted in regard to males than any other person on TV. That is why women love him. That probably offends some of the women and I'm sorry: That doesn't change the facts, women in general love Dr. Phil 'cause he spouts hate. My wife says to ignore that part of what he says ... I find I cannot.

whome

Whome...whenever i point out male bashing on TV my wife gives me that same song and dance. "Why don't you just ignore it?"

It sometimes seems that ALL women are secretly liking the bashing the way they are so quick to dismiss it.

When she watches crap like that on TV I get up and leave and head for the computer. Of course she whines..."where are you going"?

If I have to make a choice between her and her crummy choice in TV and the computer. She'll be watching TV by herself every time.

"Dr Phil"
My Mom in law watches that. It seems like every day he has a philandering man on there who is totally wronging his woman.
The Philster spends his whole show outlining what a POS the man is.
As far as I'm concerned Dr P squats when he pees. What a pussy.

But I guess "Ofrah" can do anything she wants. After all if the networks refuse her they're sexist and racist...ROFL...what a crock.

Now I hear Mother Teresa Ofrah is heading over to Africa to buy toys for the children there.
I guess helping Americans doesn't do enuff for her ratings.

What a whore.

More Police crap.
You need us to protect you from "blah blah blah". Police don't protect people from ANYTHING.
Most likely they'll show up an hour late and arrest the wrong person. That is after escalating the violence and physically and mentally abusing the victim.
That's before the cops go home and kick their dog and beat their wife.

I thought if a soldier rendered theirself unfit for duty by dereliction, ie. getting the clap, they were charged with destruction of Govt. property and fined accordingly.
These women should have been made to stay onboard until the 7th month or so then confined to a hospital onshore. :x
