I see. I knew there was some difference between Libertarians and liberals as discussed previously, in the negative sense.

I believe that some men have a form of mental illness where they accept such a paradigm for their lives, because this is what they have been taught.  They believe that the only purpose of a man is to please women.  These men are very chivalrous.  They spend much time working out in the gym, they fully support women-only shelters and think it exciting to lay their coat over a mud puddle for a woman.

If it's a paradigm for their lives, it could be construed as a mental illness, if there was no benefit in it. I think pleasing women, especially sexually, can be viewed as an art form, and/or a skill. It's just my two cents, but it ought to be an ability you can use at will, rather than something you feel you have to do constantly.

It is good she acknowledges women in general are weaker physically than men in general. Unfortunatly she assumes this means that men are better in general than women. I disagree. We are different, certainly, but not less. She is no better in her views than a rabid feminist who assumes women are better.

BQ, she's not saying that means men are better...if she did I missed it...she was saying that women ought to reconsider firefighting and EMT work, and not fight to have easier standards to qualify. Her statement about carrying the 160-lb dummy is spot on. Any woman who can do that should be in like Flynn...but I'd have a hard time with it, like a lot of men would, too.

If I might play Devil's Advocate, without 'liberals', there would still be slavery, child labor, no civil rights, no safety standards of any sort in the workplace, no standards for clean water or food, nor any controls on pollution.
That gigantic smog cloud over China that never goes away? Take all the 'liberals' out of america, and we'll have one just like it next year.

For the record, I'm libertarian, not liberal. And I won't paint conservatives as evil, just machiavellian (dog eat dog/devil take the hindmost)

But back to the original essay, it's scary to see how many aspects of civilization are inspired by poon...errr, I mean, mating opportunities. I'd like to think not everyone writes a book just to get laid. In fact, I can say with some certainty that two of the books I wrote would make potential mates run for their lives.

As per the suicide bombers, you'd think it'd be the ones that HAD four wives..."I can't TAKE any more TALKING!!! This is IT..." But then, you'd think they'd just blow up the wives. Ironically, the Quran specifically forbids suicide, stating that anyone who takes their own life will feel the pain of their suicide method over and over for eternity.

We men have to compete to gain our manhood. Women can just stand there and they get their womanhood.

That resonated with me...the notion that we have to compete to gain our manhood.

I've always thought the definition of manhood was first and foremost, self-reliance. That means employment, and unfortunately we do have to compete for jobs, unless/until we become self-employed or run our own enterprises.

But to compete in any other area, as natural and pervasive as it may seem...how do we gain our manhood by doing that? You can say we have to compete for mates as well, but priests are men, and they don't have to compete.

I think--although I can't provide evidence, unfortunately--that maybe our lives, and everyone else's, would be a lot easier without all this competition we're obliged to enter into.

Mayhap this "Vera Institute of Justice" warrants a closer look.

Everyone ought to check out the blog John originally found this on. It holds up a pretty harsh (but possibly useful) mirror to the MRM. I had to agree with a lot of their points.

MABTW: Men are born that way?

NAFALT: Not all...(fathers?) are like that? What's the F in that one stand for?

FRA/MGHOW bounced off my thick skull, sorry to say...would appreciate any enlightenment in that area.

Kind of scary that I know the other acronyms, though...or maybe that's a good thing?

I noticed it said "The victim kissed her back in a bid to escape".

Wouldn't you knee her groin in a bid to escape?

Just found this, thought I'd pass it on...

You've got to take your hat off to Gary (Amber Portwood's baby's father). Because he took some knocks on camera, the country knows that Domestic Violence isn't all male-on-female.

To be fair, though, the worst sluts are MEN (and I should know, I am one, it's never been a problem) so DeGraaf should come up with 6 things Men say when they want to have sex:

(Such as)

"How YOUdoin'?"

"Hey, wanna eat pizza and F**K?! Whazzamatta, you don't like PIZZA?"

"Yo, mutha SEX, get on the 'A' Train, and bring me some DO." (I have no idea what that means, but apparently it works for the guy who says it, 'cause he keep saying it.)

"Hi, I'm a famous movie producer."

"F**K me before I KILL again!!!"

"Have you ever had your navel licked...from the INSIDE?"

Apparently I'm limited to 6 lines in this context, but I've got 107 more.

Is B&B one of the guys on here?
Anyway, I sent him an invite...the more the merrier.

What's embarrassing is, all through college, when I was a gigolo on the outside and an introvert on the inside, girls would say all kinds of these things to me and I had no clue they wanted to get down and dirty...luckily I made up for lost time, though.

Man, that thing's going off on you guys. Seems like she has a lot of time on her hands. But now it's 3 against 1.
