This is just to highlight some welcome listening I heard today. This whent to air on Australia's national radio network, and that is very rare to hear in todays media. It is an opinion that sternly attacks feminism and its connected ideas. http://mpegmedia.abc.net.au/rn/podcast/2014/11/cpt_20141117.mp3
There are other similar topics in todays show and related ones in the previous weeks. The first link gets you to the media file of the story, this one to the show listings. http://www.abc.net.au/radionational/programs/counterpoint/
There are other media streams through the 'listen' button if you need them.
Your ears should be refreshed after heaing, though the 'violence against women' topic does support the usual false premise that "its worse for women".

"What's behind this incredible mainstreaming of feminism? Is it something to celebrate? Is it really about winning full freedom and equality for women, or is it more about sanitising and controlling society in a new way, to make it suitable to what are patronisingly described as female sensitivities? Many feminists now spread fear about male behaviour and the culture of violence, and call for censorship of sexual images or punishment of men who catcall, leer and say sexist things so is this really a new and brilliant strike for human equality, or a new and scary form of authoritarianism?"

Main / Women on juries
Nov 06, 2013, 03:52 AM
This is another blow in the campaign to prevent women from having to face any consequences, of any sort, for thier actions, attitudes or performance - in any sphere. They are women and must be included in everything - no exclusions allowed. Passing judgement on a woman for any reason will not be tollerated!

I love how the jury ends up almost 50-50 and that is still reason for complaint.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Women are twice as likely to be excluded from criminal juries as men.

In Victoria, people accused of a crime can make up to six peremptory challenges to their potential jurors based on their job, appearance and, in some cases, their name. Defendants do not have to give a reason for challenges.

The Juries Commissioner's Office found that while an almost equal number of men and women were randomly summoned for jury service, in the past year, of 2405 peremptory challenges, 67 per cent were to women compared with 33 per cent to men.

However, the proportion of men to women in final juries was more equal, with 44 per cent of jurors female and 56 per cent male.

The Law Reform Commission is currently reviewing a range of factors in the jury selection process, including whether such challenges should continue to exist. It is also investigating their effect on jurors and on the fairness of trials.

The commission's consultation paper said: ''These statistics suggest that the under-representation of women on criminal juries in Victoria is primarily the result of the peremptory challenge process. This gender imbalance is not reflected in civil trials.''

The commission's chairman, retired Supreme Court judge Philip Cummins, said prosecutors rarely mounted similar challenges.

The judge said critics argued challenges could not predict how a juror would perform and were humiliating to jurors, while supporters believed they were important to ensuring the accused had a fair trial.

''The real question is whether the selected jury is representative of the community because a jury is the voice of the community,'' Mr Cummins said. ''If it is not representative because of the challenges, that affects the validity of the system.''

Criminal defence lawyers the commission interviewed said that defendants would sometimes use the challenges ''to exclude a prospective juror they are not comfortable with because they assume the person will not judge them fairly''.

They conceded they often assessed potential jurors' ability to be impartial based on assumptions and stereotypes, but defended this ''on the grounds that that is the only information available and that there is sometimes an element of truth in stereotypes''.

Common stereotypes of potential jurors included:

■ Young women, counsellors, nurses and doctors may be more sympathetic to victims in sexual offence cases.

■ White-collar professionals may be less sympathetic to a person accused of affray than tradespeople.

Mr Cummins encouraged members of the public to submit their views to the commission - particularly if they had been involved in the jury selection process - by November 14.

Main / Abducted in Australia
Sep 28, 2013, 05:18 AM
I was quite enraged and discusted in 2012 when this story came out. But I'm pleased to post this update as my suspicions at the time have been confirmed. This 'thing' Laura Garrett made claims of abuse etc, against the Italin father, then conned the Australian government into performing an illegal abduction of her children to gain custody.

Now we have proof that she and several other women (including a female child) conspired to lie to gain posetion of the children. Original video:
60 Minutes interview: Australian government helps in abduction of children from their father.

"It's hard to forget the traumatic scene - as four young girls were dragged kicking and screaming from their mother and put on a plane home to Italy.
It was the culmination of a most extraordinary battle between Australian mum Laura Garrett and her Italian husband Tommaso Vincenti.

Last year, we revealed how Laura conspired with Australia's Embassy in Italy to breach the Hague Convention and kidnap her own children.
Now, the case against Laura deepens.

You'll see how she manipulated her daughters to win sympathy from the public and then began a torrid facebook campaign against Tommaso.

Now Laura's friends are turning on her and an old accusation has come back to haunt her."

Main / False abuse weapons

http://www.smh.com.au/national/false-abuse-claims-are-the-new-court-weapon-retiring-judge-says-20130705-2phao.html

Nice to see the word gets out sometimes....

Allegations of child sexual abuse are being increasingly invented by mothers to stop fathers from seeing their children, says a retiring Family Court judge.

Justice David Collier, retiring from Parramatta Family Court at the end of the month after 14 years on the bench, sees unprecedented hostility infiltrating the Family Court, and a willingness by parents to use their children to damage one another.

''If a husband and wife really get down to it in this day and age, dirt flies,'' Justice Collier said.

The worst are those mothers who direct false allegations of abuse against former partners.

''When you have heard the evidence, you realise that this is a person who's so determined to win that he or she will say anything. I'm satisfied that a number of people who have appeared before me have known that it is one of the ways of completely shutting husbands out of the child's life.

''It's a horrible weapon.''

Such cases are fraught for Family Court judges. Once an allegation has been made it is impossible to ignore. The court must deem whether there is an ''unacceptable risk'' of abuse occurring in the father's care.

Sometimes the allegations are obviously fabricated, other times they are probably true.

''It's that grey area in the middle that you lose sleep over at night, and you do lose sleep,'' Justice Collier said.

''They're difficult to disprove. The allegation lingers there.''

Barrister Esther Lawson, who sits on the family law committee at the NSW Bar Association, said anecdotally there appeared to be an increase in allegations of sexual abuse coming before the court, but the reasons were unclear.

She also warned that the consequence of false allegations could return to haunt the accuser, including the loss of time with their children.

''Clearly there are cases where there is reliable evidence that sexual abuse has taken place and these matters need to be properly ventilated,'' Ms Lawson said.

''But if the court finds that allegations have been maliciously motivated then there may be potential consequences, including a change in the child's primary residence.''

It is rare for Family Court judges to speak publicly about their views. Many are still haunted by the 1980 murder of Justice David Opas and 1984 bombings of the Parramatta Family Court building and homes of two judges.

Judgments are now more involved, partly so the losing party can understand the reasoning behind decisions. Justice Collier said the cases were also more complicated, as litigants raise more matters and run each of them to earth. Facebook pages are frequently called into evidence.

''A mother declares she lives a chaste and modest life and then on Facebook says, 'Guess what I did last night', and Dad's only too happy to put it before you.''

He puts much of the venom down to a generation of people more assertive of their rights, and now entering relationships.

But it disheartens him to leave the court so, after a satisfying career. He used to keep a magic wand, which he has now passed on to his colleague Justice Bill Johnson.

''I wished I could wave that magic wand and say, 'Be nice to each other','' Justice Collier said. ''That's the only order I would have to make.''

Main / Male rapper sexually assaulted
May 18, 2013, 07:11 AM
http://www.mamamia.com.au/entertainment/sexual-assault-rapper-danny-brown-oral-sex-on-stage/

Interesting article. Note how half the women are treading water trying not to pin it down as assault. Also no mention of the posibiity that the attitudes of women might have something to do with why men are reluctant to claim victim status.

By MELISSA WELLHAM

Meet hip hop artist Danny Brown.

Originally born Daniel Dewan Sewell, he's a rapper from Michigan and has been described by MTV as "one of rap's most unique figures in recent memory."

And recently, when performing on stage in Minneapolis, a female fan pulled down Brown's pants and attempted to perform oral sex on him.

Seriously.

(You can see the photo - NSFW - here)

Everyone had a great laugh at this young woman's audacity and the internet erupted with blokes congratulating Brown on the ultimate pop star achievement. The chorus got louder as more and more joined in the commentary.

Largely Brown was labelled either a womaniser, who had used a poor girl to reinforce his 'rep', or as the coolest guy ever, for getting a blowjob on stage and not even missing a beat.

Music websites that wrote about the incident used congratulatory language, saying things like 'he brought a twist to a recent concert by receiving a blowjob on stage'.  News Ltd reported that Brown had "outraged fans by allegedly receiving oral sex from an audience member while performing".

Another rapper, Kendrick Lamar, tweeted Brown asking "U really just got the h-- on stage stanny???"  Brown reportedly replied, "didn't miss one bar" - but the tweet has since been deleted.

But, um, hold on a second.

Danny Brown backed away the moment he was approached by the woman.

He did not look welcoming, he looked a bit shocked and confused.

He did not consent.

So wasn't Danny Brown sexually assaulted?

Danny Brown is currently touring with a female rapper who goes by the name 'Kitty Pryde' - her real name is Kathryn Beckwith. Pryde wrote a piece for Vice magazine after the incident, in which she outright called what happened to Brown sexual assault. She wrote:

Screen shot 2013 05 13 at 10.42.33 PM What a female fan did to this rapper was sexual assault, right?

   Kitty Pryde

I'm mad that a person thought it was okay to pull another person's pants down during their performance in front of about 700 other people.

I'm mad that a person thought it was a good idea to perform a sex act on another person without their consent. I'm mad that nobody made her leave. I'm mad that Danny had to actually wonder what he was supposed to do at that point.

What is Danny supposed to do? The girl was at mouth-to-d**k level already and to push her away, he would've had to either push her face or kick her, and even the most gentle of either motion would immediately be labeled "abuse" by anyone watching.

Pryde says that the reaction on the internet is an example of double standards, where the public is inclined to side with women when they are sexually assaulted - but not with men. Pryde continued, "It's obvious that the reason nobody cares is because a girl did it to a boy... Everyone wants the option of blaming it on Danny, because people can't accept the fact that a white girl raped a black dude in front of a bunch of people."

The fact that Brown has retweeted his defence by Kitty Pryde a number of times since it was published, suggests that he agrees with her point of view. The most important argument that Pryde makes, it that Brown's assault is much like any other. It's just that people aren't calling it that.

Sexual assaults often occur when the victim is vulnerable or otherwise distracted - as Brown probably would have been while performing on stage.

But there are conflicting reports of the evening.

One audience member who saw the incident, described the night on website Reddit:

I was right behind the girl and saw everything it was scaring edit: Okay so this is how it all went down, I was near the front row and all night Danny had been going up to the crowd and having random girls touch his d*ck through his pants. Then this girl in front of me starts flashing him and he goes up to her and grabs her t*ts.

Then all of a sudden gets up close pulls his shirt up a little and she start blowing him. Then I'm behind her and I start getting pushed against her by the crowd shifting. It's horrible and I hope you guys will be donating to my future therapy sessions but also i came back with a story. He rapped the entire time during too.

The verdict by social media has come down to a "he said, she said" situation. And sadly, many cases of sexual assault often do amount to this.

Brown has, to some extent, been blamed for being the victim. People have claimed that Brown was "walking around the stage getting girls to grab his dick" before the incident.

Some online commentators have mentioned that Brown raps frequently about sex, and his lyrics are highly sexualized. Both of these facts have been used to 'explain away' what happened to Brown on stage.

This line of reasoning bares striking similarities to claiming girls are 'asking for it' if they wear revealing clothing, or are flirting with boys, before they are sexually assaulted.

Brown is also unlikely to speak out about the incident - another hallmark of sexual assault cases - for fear of appearing emasculated or 'uncool'.

Victims of sexual assault often feel pressure not to report the incident. Women, because they fear being blamed or having their behaviour questioned, and the backlash that comes with speaking out. Men, because they fear that people won't believe a man could be assaulted, or because they don't want to appear 'weak'.

As Pryde points out, if Brown were to admit that he didn't enjoy having oral sex forced upon him, that could actually be damaging for his career. She writes that even if Brown has extricated himself more swiftly from the situation, he'd be "faced with attacks on his masculinity by every douchebro in the building. 'Yo dude, you don't want your dick sucked, bro? Are you gay? Haha you're gay you don't want girls to suck your dick haha gay dude bro man swag!' And that's a rapper's literal nightmare."

It's impossible to know all the details of this case. The YouTube footage of the incident lasts for barely 30 seconds, and the blurry photographs from the performance are unclear and unverified.

Maybe Brown was sexually assaulted, and maybe he wasn't.

But he seems to feel he that was.

Do you think we're more ready to label something as an assault just because it happens to a woman?

This is just another example of the misrepresentation of the truth and how to play the victim to get yourself more attention. This is feminisms gift to society.

Link between sex victims, crime: inquiry

Former clinical director of the Victorian Institute of Forensic Health, Paul Mullen, says there is a strong link between men having been sexually abused as a child and becoming a sexual abuser as an adult.

The association is strongest for boys who are sexually abused between the ages of 12 to 16, he said.

"In that group, figures suggest 10 per cent of them go on to be convicted of a sexual offence, which is an enormous number," Professor Mullen said.

Addressing the Victorian parliamentary inquiry into institutions' handling of child abuse allegations, Prof Mullen said about 15 per cent of children were sexually abused during their childhood.

Men most likely to abuse children were adolescent to early 20s and involved in substance abuse and lawless behaviour.

They were men who often showed signs of social inadequacy, intellectual disability, mental health issues and disregard for others, he said.

"There are a number of things strongly associated with child sex abusers and it has nothing to do with abnormal desire," he said.

During the last decade he was involved in a study following almost 3000 sexually abused children and recording their experiences in mental disorder, suicide, drug overdose, victimisation and offending.

Prof Mullen said the study, the biggest of its kind, showed child abuse survivors had higher rates of depressive illness, anxiety and stress disorders, alcohol and drug abuse, and social problems than other people.

They also experience higher rates of education failure, interpersonal problems, marital breakdown, early onset of sexual activity and higher frequency of teen pregnancy.

Men and women survivors also have higher offending rates, especially for violence.

Prof Mullen said the risks of a child from a privileged, protective, caring background suffering significant child sexual abuse were much lower than a child from a disorganised, disadvantaged home living in a chaotic neighbourhood.

He said a public education campaign on child sex abuse was needed.

"If we're to do anything about the total burden of child sexual abuse in our community, we've got to start thinking of methods which really do address the appalling frequency with which men sexually abuse children," he said.

Main / Man flu exists

http://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/health-fitness/scientists-confirm-man-flu-exists/story-fneuzlbd-1226561786289

Scientists have revealed that there is such a thing as Man Flu. Picture: ThinkStock

IT'S often seen as nothing more than whinging about a cold.

But 'man flu' really does exist, according to research.

Men suffer more with coughs and colds because they have extra temperature receptors in the brain and so experience worse symptoms.

Children deal with colds the same way because the relevant area of the brain is the same size in boys and girls, said Durham University neuroscientist Dr Amanda Ellison.

But when boys hit puberty testosterone starts to act on the area, called the preoptic nucleus, making it larger.

Dr Ellison said: 'When you have a cold one of the things that happens is you get an increase in temperature to fight off the bugs.

'The bugs can't survive at higher temperatures.

'When your immune system is under attack the preoptic nucleus increases temperature to kill off the bugs. But men have more temperature receptors because that area of the brain is bigger in men than women.

"So men run a higher temperature and feel rougher - and if they complain they feel rough then maybe they're right."

Research published in 2009 which also supported the existence of man flu was criticised as inconclusive as it related to genetically engineered mice rather than humans. But Dr Ellison's study was based on research carried out on human brains.

"It is part of the whole argument about the differences between men and women and how their behaviour can be influenced by differences in their brains," she added.

Commenting on the fact that her findings could be seen as controversial, Dr Ellison said: "I'm just throwing it out there. The debate will rage on and quite rightly so. The trouble with man flu has always been that there is not much hard evidence that the feelings are worse in males than in females. This is just a possible cause."

Just wait for the denials and ridiculing to start. Hang on there's already a video on the page to mock.

Main / Sex in her care
Nov 25, 2012, 12:17 AM
A committed Christian schoolteacher "fell off the tracks" when she sexually abused a teenage girl in her care, a court has heard.

The girl was living with the former teacher, her husband and three children when six months of abuse began, the Victorian County Court was told.

Defence barrister Phil Dunn QC told the pre-sentence hearing his client was a strict Christian who was suffering financial hardship, an ill husband and an unravelling marriage at the time of her offending.

"What happened here was opportunistic," he said.

"She buckled, seeking comfort and solace."

The accused, a Mormon, was teaching Sunday school when she met the victim, aged 11 at the time.

The girl, whose parents were separated, was 15 and living with the secondary school teacher when the abuse began in 2009.

On Friday the teacher pleaded guilty to performing an indecent act with a child under 16, sexual penetration of a child under 16, indecent act with a 16-year-old and sexual penetration of a 16-year-old, while the victim was under her care, supervision or authority.

The prosecution said the accused would visit the victim as she slept in the loungeroom three to five times a week, kissing and touching her.

The offending occurred at the offender's family home and during a short trip away and escalated to sexual penetration.

The victim told a doctor, who reported the offending to police.

Prosecutor Jeremy McWilliams said the accused should be jailed for a maximum four years for her significant breach of trust.

But defence barrister Phil Dunn said that was too high and the offending happened when his client was "overloaded" with problems.

"Every foundation of her life was under siege," he said.

"What is truly extraordinary about this case is the two of them lived cheek by jowl in the same house.

"They sat and they talked for hour after hour every night. They were confidantes. She couldn't talk to her husband."

Mr Dunn said his client, who was raised a strict Christian and married at 19, had led a cloistered existence and never uttered a swear word or drank alcohol.

He said after the teacher's marriage broke down at the end of 2009, the teenager continued to live with her for 14 months, sleeping at times in the same room.

He said his client helped educate the girl and obtain counselling for her to "right the wrong" she had done.

The accused also wrote a letter to her victim saying: "What I did was wrong. I used you and I shouldn't have", he said.

"You are dealing with a 39-year-old committed Christian woman who fell off the tracks in 2009 ... when she got overwhelmed," Mr Dunn said.

The accused was remanded into custody for sentencing on December 4.

I once heard on a stronghold of feminist ethics here in Aus, ABC radio, that 90% of cyber-bullies are female. They will occasionally through a fact like this in to try and show they aren't sexist hypoctites. But we don't have campaigns to re-educate the 'culture of women' as we do men do we.
Anyway here is a sterling piece leadership from a female mentor:

Embattled celebrity Charlotte Dawson has been hospitalised after Twitter trolls unleashed a torrent of abuse, media reports say.

Women's online magazine Mamamia says the TV host was admitted to Sydney's St Vincent's hospital on Thursday morning after 'eight hours of unrelenting abuse on Twitter' on Wednesday night, the latest chapter in days of cyber-bullying.

A hospital spokesman told News Ltd the 46-year-old star 'is expected to make a full recovery' after emergency services were called to her home at about 3am on Thursday.

Sydney-based Dawson, who recently described her native New Zealand as 'small, nasty and vindictive', traced the original abusive tweet to Tanya Heti, who manages a student mentoring program at Melbourne's Monash University.

The university on Wednesday suspended Heti, who tweeted Dawson, saying 'on behalf of NZ we would like you to please go hang yourself'.

Monash issued a statement saying it 'does not condone or endorse' Heti's comments.

Dawson had confronted Heti about abusive posts directed at her and a Melbourne follower who had lost her partner to suicide.

That follower admonished Heti for her tweet directed at Dawson.

Heti replied to the Melbourne woman: 'if I was your fiance I'd hang myself too #gohangyourself.'

When Dawson phoned Heti to challenge the comments, she said she was told she was a 'well-to-do white girl' who should be able to cope.

Dawson, who is an ambassador for the Australian anti-bullying program Community Brave and judge on Australia's Next Top Model show, appeared on Network Nine's A Current Affair on Wednesday night.

The forthright TV star says she cops abuse because she's single, over 40, childless and does Botox.

'I retweet some of the negative stuff because I want my followers to know what's out there and there is a lot of vitriol out there,' she told the program.

'If you're willing to dish it out, then you've got to grow up and take it back.'

After the segment, Twitter trolls unleashed more than 100 messages of abuse, many of which included four-letter words in comments such as 'neck yourself ... ' and 'please put your face in a toaster'.

The second creator of sexually degrading Facebook page 'Benders Root Rate' has been sentenced to four months jail.

The page, which went viral in June last year, named and rated the sexual performance of local teens, some as young as 13.

David McRory, 22, pleaded guilty in the Bendigo Magistrates Court this morning to using a carriage service to offend and publishing offensive material on an information network.

He also pleaded guilty to a series of traffic offences and two charges of obtaining property by deception.

Magistrate Richard Wright sentenced McRory to four months jail on each of the two Facebook related charges, as well the charges of obtaining property by deception.

The sentences were made concurrent, making an effective sentence of four months.

Mr Wright disqualified him from driving for 12 months and imposed a $2000 fine.

McRory immediately appealed his sentence.

Earlier this month 25-year-old Josh Turner, also a creator of the page, was sentenced to six months' jail, wholly suspended. Turner has also appealed his sentence.

http://www.3aw.com.au/blogs/breaking-news-blog/fury-over-female-basketballers-secondclass-treatment/20120719-22blr.html
News of discrimination within the Australian Olympic basketball team has prompted outrage over the female side's travel arrangement second-class treatment.

This morning, The Age revealed that while the men's basketball team, the Boomers, enjoyed business class seats on the plane over to London, the Opals were not offered the same treatment, instead flying in premium economy.

Speaking with Neil Mitchell, Former Opals captain and three-time Olympian Robyn Maher said the team received the same treatment during her playing days.

"It's been unfair for about twenty odd years. I'm still thinking it's unfair," she said.

Robyn said despite lots of questions being asked, the Opals felt they were hard done by and were never given a satisfying reason for their treatment.

"There was never ever a reason, a good enough reason, given to the team to make us happy," she said.

As well as being seated in a lower class to the men, the Boomers were also treated to expedited routes. Robyn said if the teams flew to London, the Opals would be forced to take a 40-hour flight via several destinations seated in economy, whereas the Boomers would fly business in a much lesser time.

Robyn Maher represented Australia in the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, 1988 Olympics in Seoul, and captained the Opals to a bronze medal in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.

Robyn said with vast increase in female basketballers' heights and their higher world ranking compared to the men, the degree of unfairness was now amplified.

Age journalist Sam Lane who is currently in London told Sports Today it appears this has been the convention of the Australian basketball teams.

Sam Lane said it was believed the men's basketballers contracts stated they must fly in business class if their flight's duration was over a specified number of hours, However the women's team was afforded no such arrangement.

Speaking with Derryn Hinch, Australian Olympic swimming hero Dawn Fraser said while the Australian Olympic Committee wasn't to blame, it appeared the times hadn't changed.

"I think it's the individual sporting associations that don't look after our athletes as well as they should," she said.

"I've seen officials fly up in the nose, whereas our athletes have been up the back in cattle class."

Basketball Australia said height and size were the primary consideration taken into account while organisation travel arrangements for their team members.

"For example, the average height of our male basketball players is 200.2cm. The average height of our female basketball players is 183cm," the statement said.

Basketball Australia stated each national team was allocated a budget, and each leadership group of the team was given the responsibility of how their budgets were to be spent, including travel arrangement expenses.

However Robyn Maher said she believed that was not the case.

"I've got a fair insight into Basketball Australia's Opal team, and I don't think the players or the coaching staff are ever asked the question 'Should we send you business class or should we play France twice?" she told Neil Mitchell.

"I don't think that even matters whether you're in for a medal chance or not. I think if one sex in the same sport, with the same funding...I think it's just fair that they all travel in the same (class)."

Sam Lane was able to confirm members of both sexes from the Australian hockey and track cycling teams each flew their athletes to London seated in Economy.

Aussie athletes got lost on way to the Olympic Village LONDON2012: Australian Olympians arriving in London have been taken on a three hour, unintended tour of the host city after their driver got lost. The bus trip from Heathrow airport to ther village in east London should take 45 minutes.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The reason they don't have the seating they want is because they failed to arrange it themselves.

"I don't think that even matters whether you're in for a medal chance or not. I think if one sex in the same sport, with the same funding...I think it's just fair that they all travel in the same (class)."

Quote
National women's soccer and cricket teams are flown economy as a matter of course, while the male teams travel in business. This is despite the fact that the Australian women's soccer team has a higher world ranking than the men's team.
So, because the women, in their sphere, are higher ranked they should get better treatment.
Quote
Like the Japan's soccer players, our female basketballers have a strong chance of securing gold in London. The Opals have won silver medals at the last three Olympics, but while the men's team have come close, they have never won an Olympic medal.
Again.
Quote
While the Opals have won silver medals at the last three Olympic Games, won bronze in 1996 and are strong contenders to breakthrough for gold in London, the Boomers have never won an Olympics medal.

By that criteria them men should get better treatment, because in a cross-gender contest the male team would be better.

Then the excuses switch back to equal again.
Quote
"Our Australian basketball teams, the Opals and the Boomers, both play the same game, they're both tall and they are both equally committed to representing Australia at the Games.

"They shouldn't have to travel a different class because they're both world class."

I like this quote near the end of this article.
Quote
"I'm yet to find a nice answer for it other than they're male and we're female. You'd hate that that's the reason, but I'm sure it is."

In other words; I'm telling you nicely I wan't the reason to be sexism.

By the way, I do think its reasonable that they get bigger seats, like the men, because they are larger than average people.

Unless of course you decide to support another of the paragraphs, then on merrit they shouldn't because the men are better. But they will of course hold both positions until one gets them what they want.

But they have the money and represenation to arrange that for themselves and didn't. So sexism is the claim.

Main / Is monogamy unnatural?
Feb 22, 2012, 06:03 AM
This was an interesting radio show listened to a few days ago.http://www.abc.net.au/radionational/programs/scienceshow/is-monogamy-unnatural3f/3818274You can download the audio or read the transcript.

This was interesting for the topic and the general misandric tone of the speaker. From memory the speaker regularly criticised male behaviour with riddicule and insults. A particlualry 'amusing' part was a question from the audience which resulted in eager clapping and moans fro the female members ofthe audience, which left me with the feeling that women waned the right to cheat also(but the worldwide media campaign to attack men will stay, of course):
Quote
. However, what I found out is that even if women jump up and down and cry and scream and reproach men for years afterwards when they have an affair, they often stay with them. But a man very rarely forgives a woman for an affair. What is going on with male sexuality that it is so linked to their identity?

The logical conclusions of the behavior of women here is that women don't want monogmy but men do. Which might explain the deafening roar that women put out reguarding mens cheating - projection and obfuscation.
The point about male sexuality being linked to identiy shows that this woman doesn't get it or men. Men are more individual than women. If a woman cheats on you that gives the woman the opportunity to have you raise children that aren't yours. It's about giving your ofspring the best chance to thrive, being raised by you and paid for by you. Which is why woman would want the approval to cheat, they get the man they want raising the offspring they want (by a different man), the best of both worlds and the best chance for her offspring.

The general gist of the speakers view is much the same as feminists use the Bonobo argument; if society was run by women we'd be all sugar and spice and all things nice etc. But after listenng to the show the elefant in the room to me is: Why aren't women willing to behave like Bonobos then? There is actually nolthing stopping them.
Quote
Because we are cultivating violence and repressing sex
Violence against women is used as an excuse to justify the percieved patriachal control of women and thier lack of freedom - hence freedom to Bonobo bonk. But as you know about 80% of the vilence in socity is inflicted on males, not females. Logically this should mean that its men who are being controlled by violence not women. Yet women stlll don't Bonobo bonk.

One thing that I hadn't heard before on the Bonobos is this point reguarding sex:
Quote
But yes, the adult to child taboo doesn't seem to exist in bonobos other than mother to son
So we'd all be happier if women were allowed to behave like Bonobos - well if women have even more ability to use sex to manipulate and control men. Yet other Bonobo behaviour like the above quote, well we'll still label you as the predatory plague of society, if you're male. And of course females having sex with everybody they meet isn't predatory either. The self-serving-sexist-hypocracy never ends.

I thnk I'll call the feminists favourite ape, the paedophile primate from now on.

Main / Fashion facts

This is regarding a recent beat-up in Australia over the recent deaths of two fashion models overseas. The story was related to the banning of thin models from the industry and anorexia etc. - of course is all the fault of we evil objectifying men as usual, despite over 70% of anorexics being so due to its inherited genetic nature.

I was watching a show called Media Watch and it uncovered a few unfortunate truths about the deaths of these two sisters (clue) and the usual campaign to harp on this subject and its main target - men. Basically the program found that the women died of natural causes and had no signs of malnutrition. The cause was indeed genetic, but not anorexia, it was a heart condition.

I don't know if you've had this same news in your own countries, but I thought I'd give you warning in case you come across this same beat-up.

For the record I, like most men,  hate the look of these overly thin women.
Quote
They all claimed Eleana Ramos died from malnutrition or anorexia.

Media Watch can't rule out either - but according to the local investigating Judge in Uruguay, Roberto Timbal, Eleana Ramos died of...

.. 'acute cardiac arrest' - or heart attack ...what the medical forensic said was that the body appeared normal - it wasn't too skinny. The medical forensic told me .. he measured the muscles, the fat, everything like that.

-- Statement from Roberto Timbal to Media Watch

And the judge says her sister Luisel died from the same inherited heart defect.

In Uruguay the national press seemed to have no problem getting the facts right.

Relatives told El País that Eleana Ramos' death was caused by an acute cardiac arrest...This information was confirmed by Judge Roberto Timbal. It was the same cause as that of her sister Luisel's death... It was denied that the cause of death was anorexia ... as some media versions suggested.

-- El Pais, Model: autopsy rejected the anorexia or eating disorder hypothesis (Translation), 15th February, 2007

Main / Who is abusing who?
Sep 20, 2004, 01:12 AM
I would like to know from the people her if they think I have a point, or am I being insensitive, callous or just insane?

A little while a go I was watching a documentary TV show we have here in Australia called Four Corners - a current affairs show - when all my sympathy (for the victems) flew out the window and I became enraged.

The program was about the alleged sexual abuse by a swimming coach of some of his female pupils. Then, this little gem popped out at me:

JULIE GILBERT: He suggested I come in for a private training session during the day. And I used to meet him at his caravan, which was...at that time, was his place of residence at the pool, and he suggested that he'd give me a, um...a massage. So I lay down on his bed and I had, um, removed my shirt and just had my togs on and a pair of shorts. And he massaged my back and shoulders and then he started to massage my calves and my inner leg, and eventually got his hand up underneath my togs. From there he rubbed my vagina and clitoris until I had an orgasm.

Now, to me, this means a couple of things.

1). Either this was not abuse, it was consentual. (Otherwise how did she have an orgasm?)
2). Or the excuses women continually use to justify not having sex when men are false.
3). That now ANY man can can have ANY woman charged with rape from any time in the past.

Because women have been telling us for ages that a woman's sexual desires are totally tied up to her emotional state, and that they cannot enjoy sex if they are feeling unloved, too tired, feel pressured, have too much work to do - take out the garbage and I'll feel loved and have sex with you - then it is not possible for a female who is being sexually abused to have an orgasm during the act.

Surely with their greater greater emotional sensitivity/connectivity a female cannot have an orgasm when she doesn't wan to? That is what we are led to believe. If that is so the then she has not been abused and the second point must be true.

If it is not abuse, thus the second point is true, then the third point is also true. So is should now be possible to start charging women who you've had sex with in the past, with rape. Because clearly if you were aroused or had an orgasm has no bearing on wheather you consented.

If it is a case of abuse, Just think, anybody can now charge anybody with rape! (I'm sure the Law will allow us to do this, aren't we equal after all?)

On the other hand, the only way to avoid the second and third points being true is to admit that cases such as these are not abuse/rape.

Here is a link to the transcript of the mentioned TV show.

Be gentle, I'm new here.
