I was on the way to base this morning, listening to some radio show, the theme of which was 'get over it!" The people running the show were taking calls from listeners who would air some gripe they had with someone and then tell that person to get over it. Many of them were women telling men to get over various things. One was a woman saying to her husband that she was divorcing him, and he needs to get over it. She further said that the court date was today, and that the husband didn't know about it yet. The one that really got me, though, being military, was one woman who said, "Our daughter's first word was mama, not dada, because you've been gone for six months. Get over it!" I turned to my wingman and said, "Six months? Where do you think he's been?" My wingman just nodded, understanding that in San Antonio, a married male who is gone for six months is probably deployed. Talk about a low blow.
