Sure, no problem, Brady.  Sometimes I'm in it for the sex not the woman.  Keep that in mind after your dinner is paid for.  Its not about you.  You are just a means to an end.

Yea, but she usually already knows this and can easily turn you down after she's used you for a free meal. Sucks.

Unless of course you're talking about buying her dinner as a reward for sex.

Nice Interview! I could definatly relate to many situations Tom described in his book. And I too am interested in hearing a non-MRA female opinion of his work. But I have a feeling they would just write it all off as whiney or chauvinistic since they are conditioned to view us as oppressors.

Clearly the ones you were dealing with just couldn't accept a valid opposing pov. They would just rather stay in their shell of victomhood.

Thanks for your efforts, Mary.

Yea, followed by some tongue & cheek dialog about how oppressive you are and should respect affirmative action (like a real man should) and let her win.

Yea. The $55 estimate (and other resistance delt with to get it published) might have made a good rant fodder for the book as well.

Jeez! I had no idea it costs that much to get a book out.

publishers, publicists, and even book fairs won't touch a book of this genre - especially a self-published book, regardless of quality. Most of them are run by women and they will obstruct you, believing they are fighting bigotry. I asked for a printing estimate from a local printer which is run by a woman. She asked me what the book was about. I told her it was a men's rights book. Her estimate came back at $55. per book, and that was just for a paperback.

Horrible. That a man is an assumed bigot when he expresses a valid disagreement about how men today are treated.

This book was a great purchase and I for one am thankful for your efforts, Tom. I'm half way through it now & will get that review up for you when I finish.

Very disturbing but not suprising. Princess gets her widdle feewings hurt and goes right for the balls. It would be nice if people (young women especially) could use their brains and look at the context of the situation instead of just taking the typical "he probably deserved it" attitude.

But as long as we keep seeing men getting drilled like this on tv (kick in the pills, slap in the face, etc.) with a laugh track over it for doing nothing more than SAYING something, then it will continue to be justifiable & empowering.

I'm still early in the book but so far it's been an excellent read. The Commitment Orgasm part was spot on!

I just finished up It's different in other places last night. I've been fascinated with Rio since I was a teen. Encounters like yours down there seems like a very common thing. I need to get my ass on a plane that's for sure!

Once I finish, I'll be sure to write up an Amazon review.

Yea, I'd say she's just subtly casting that lure out there for some attention.

Awakened,

Whenever you post I find myself becoming a little dizzy, sleepy, and easily suggestable.

What do you mean? Is my avatar tough to look at?

Excellent blog, Drumgirl.

Too bad more women don't share that same point of view. Or maybe they understand it, but don't want to ruin a good thing.

And I hope that somehow we will all find a way to stop. Because we are not doing ourselves any good. We are not doing our children--particularly our daughters--any good.

Right. Since the daughters are the only ones that matter. gotcha.
