Hi.  I used to be a regular on here.  Kinda miss it now.  It's like going back to the old neighborhood.  Anyway.

There are lots of novels & movies for feminists, but few to none for MRA or Men's Movement readers.  We should have our own literature.

I want to target just readers interested in our topics, but I have lost touch with many people and many of the old forums no longer exist.  If there were men's sites with lots of traffic, I would not mind paying a modest amount to advertise this book on those sites.  Even if it did not sell well, at least the money would be going to male-positive sites.

Could you please help me?  Thanks if you can.  Are you around dr e?

If Jurors start applying this law equally, it will eventually be struck down. Hurray!

Battered Husband Found Not Guilty of Murder
It's getting quiet on this forum.  :dontknow: :sad1:

Youtube wants me to use my actual name as the Youtube name. As I have received multiple Youtube messages containing death threats from feminists, it does not seem advisable.

So I changed my Google name and adopted that as my Youtube name. This should help with my personal safety, but I am still not able to make comments on videos. When I try, a page is displayed and disappears before I can read it. It appears to be blank anyway.

I notice that few other people have changed to their personal names. How are they getting away with it?

Any ideas. Please....

An interesting quote I have stolen from an unrelated message board:

"Unfortunately it takes one extreme to counter another extreme. Most of the people in the middle just sit there and wait to be told what to think by whichever side wins and gets to dictate the established order. That's why they're called "moderates". And should any of the moderates happen to get up onto their feet and take a stand for what they believe in, they're automatically labeled an "extremist" by whichever side they come out against..."

It is hard to think of an example where moderates have pushed their views into the mainstream. Maybe the MRA have always been too moderate?

It is closed to commenting of course.

Canadians rescued 6 Americans form Iran, but a fictional film gives the credit to the CIA instead.  :pino:

Apparently whole sections of the film are fictitious, such as the ending with police chasing the plane down the runway. Never happened.

Afflect, who made a name for himself portraying negative stereotypes of bumbling, moronic men is to blame.

Former President Jimmy Carter said today "Ninety percent of the contribution to the ideas and the consummation of the plan was Canadian and the movie gives almost full credit to the American CIA," he said. Carter said the true hero was the Canadian ambassador Ken Taylor.

That's Hollywood.  :rolle:

Maybe just warning people who may not be expecting this.

(40% of Canadians say Yes.)

P.S. I think that the fiscal cliff cannot be avoided. It is just a matter of coming to terms with gov debt. Austerity measures like those in other countries with large amounts of debt are inevitable.
Newtown Shooting - Something in it for everyone:

1, Mental illness advocates say it proves that more money is needed for their programs.

2, Anti-gun activists say it proves we need fewer guns.

3, Feminists say that it proves that men are wild beasts who should not have the same rights as women and girls.

4, MRAs point to divorce and the negative fallout.

5, Loners say that people should not be pushed out of society. We should interact with all people regardless of appearance etc.

6, Corporal punishment advocates say that a few good beatings would have cured him, but the gov won't allow that nowadays.

7, Religious leaders say that we must embrace religion to root out evil in our midst.

8, Anti-video game violence advocates ... well you know.

Who will get the most mileage out of the shootings?

I want to put a user comments or a small forum under each movie review in Men's Movie Guide (and each movie review is on a separate page.) Also, I am thinking of going captcha for each entry (instead of name and password) to stop the spam bots, but to make it easy for people to enter comments.

Does anyone know any good software to do this? Any help would be appreciated.

15-year-old Ottawa girls charged with human trafficking:

Two 15-year-old girls in Ottawa are facing a slew of charges, including sexual assault and forcible confinement, in what police say are "shocking" allegations of human trafficking.

Ottawa police allege three female victims ranging in age between 13 and 17 were used as prostitutes in separate incidents.

Police said the victims were taken to a residence in the 2400 block of Walkley Road and then driven to other locations "for the purposes of prostitution."

The two accused girls were arrested on Friday and Saturday, police said. They face multiple charges, including human trafficking, robbery, abduction, forcible confinement, and sexual assault.

The 23 Best Countries for Work-Life Balance (We Are Number 23)
By Derek Thompson

Jan 4 2012, 4:41 PM ET 215

Northern Europe leads the world in laying out a social safety net for children and poorer parents, but the U.S. snags a top-five finish in the key "Working Mothers" category

With the lowest child-poverty rate among developed nations, Denmark was named the best country for work-life balance in a 2011 report from the OECD.

All three Scandinavian countries -- Denmark, Sweden, and Norway -- finished in the top seven in the ranking. So famous for their generous social safety net, which sharply divides liberals and conservatives between envy and consternation, northern Europe dominated the list, taking almost all the top ten spots.

What constitutes a balance between work and life? The OECD settled on three chief variables: (1) The share of the labor force that works extreme hours; (2) leisure time; and (3) employment rates for women who have children. The United States, which leads most of the world in share of mothers who are working, lagged in leisure time and share of overworked employees.

Wikipedia says:

English common law defined the crime of seduction as a felony committed "when a male person induced an unmarried female of previously chaste character to engage in an act of sexual intercourse on a promise of marriage."

In more modern times, Frank Sinatra was charged in New Jersey in 1938 with seduction, having enticed a woman "of good repute to engage in sexual intercourse with him upon his promise of marriage. The charges were dropped when it was discovered that the woman was already married."

It looks to me like men were oppressed until very recently.

Ontario Liberal tax credit for 'foreign workers' slammed
McGuinty likens PCs to U.S. Tea Party
CBC News Sep 6, 2011

"An Ontario Liberal pledge to provide a tax credit to businesses of up to $10,000 for hiring new immigrants to their first jobs is coming under fire by the province's Progressive Conservatives for favouring "foreign workers."

The Tories have been quick to criticize the tax credit pledge which was officially unveiled Monday along with the rest of the Liberal campaign platform just over a month before the Oct. 6 election.
Has the new Liberal platform convinced you to vote for the party?

With just a day to go until the official election campaign begins, Hudak slammed the new promise aimed at helping skilled immigrants as an "affirmative action" program.

"Basically Dalton McGuinty wants to pay companies $10,000 to hire foreign workers while we have half a million people in Ontario today who are looking for jobs," he said Tuesday at a campaign event at the home of a Scarborough family.

"He is going to pay companies $10,000 to hire anybody but you...."

"Billionaire investor Warren Buffett is calling on the "mega-rich" to pay more in taxes.

Buffett said Monday in a New York Times opinion piece that he would immediately raise rates on households with taxable income of more than $1 million, and he would add an additional increase for those making $10 million or more.

He also recommends that the 12 members of Congress charged with devising a deficit-cutting plan leave rates for 99.7 percent of taxpayers unchanged.

"My friends and I have been coddled long enough by a billionaire-friendly Congress," Buffett wrote. "

P.S. He pays only 17% income tax.

"MISSISSAUGA - Canadian border officials have launched a massive sweep for 20,000 illegal immigrants -- many desperate to avoid deportation -- who are hiding in the Greater Toronto Area.

The crackdown includes warrants for up to 50 notorious war criminals and 1,400 hardened foreign criminals who are sought by an Immigration Task Force that includes the RCMP, Toronto Police and OPP, said a top official of the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).

"These people did not comply or report to immigration officials as required (by law)," said Reg Williams, director of CBSA inland enforcement in the GTA Region. "These are warrants for people that we are actively looking for."

Williams said many of the alleged war criminals arrived in Canada as refugee claimants from the Baltic countries, Africa and Central America. Efforts are made to revoke their refugee claims and deport them after their backgrounds surface...."

If there are 20,000 that they know about, probably another 50,000 they don't know about. How many in the whole country?
Main / Women in the men's change room.
Apr 10, 2011, 09:51 PM
Had a little dust-up in the men's change room at Sears. The sign on the door says "No women allowed".

A female customer plus a female custodian were both in the men's change room. I said that while I wait for them to leave, I should go wander around the women's change room.

The two cashiers and my wonderful wife were on my side, while two female customers and the female custodian were against me.  One called my wife and I "freaks".  She said that there were often men in the women's change room, but my wife said that she had never seen that in her life.

I said that I just wanted to be treated equally and that I am deserving of the same level of dignity. I cleared the women out of the change room.

Got the blood flowing. Some angry talk. Kinda fun. Love my wife. She is cool.  :love5:
Most people are tired of feminism, tired of gender issues and they hate radical feminists. I find it easy to attack feminism on Youtube and I meet little opposition.

What does this mean for MRAs?

1, Since people are sick of gender issues. (We can't drink from the same well that feminists have already poisoned.)

We cannot use the male counterpart to feminist terms such as 'Men's Movement', 'masculism', 'men's rights', 'men's issues' etc. These terms usually provoke fatigue and anger in the listener.  People are sick to death of feminism and if they start hearing the same stuff from the male side, they will be ready to scream!  :yikes:

'It's our turn to start complaining' does not capture the public imagination.

We have to re brand the Men's Movement as something totally different.  We need to invent all new terms that are not just echos of feminism.  They must sound male-positive rather than complaining or whining.  Even if we just invent new words for scratch, we must carve our own path.
I never actually saw it before, just went by the media reports.

Was watching a vid of a US gunship shooting up a Reuters news crew. That's what they said it was. No reason to doubt though.

Maybe our governments should be held accountable. Maybe if governments can hide everything they do, then they will be out of control and will act without constraint or morality.

Is this any different than a video of police brutality in Austin or Cleveland?  Maybe this stuff should come out and be seen.
