The husband of boxer Christy Martin, who allegedly shot and stabbed her at their Orlando home last week, was arrested Tuesday after allegedly knifing himself, TMZ reported.
Christy Martin, 42, was shot and stabbed in the torso and left leg, and told deputies the injuries were caused by her husband, James "Jim" Martin, 66.
James Martin had not been seen since the attack, but the entertainment website reported that police in Apopka, Florida got a tip about his whereabouts earlier Tuesday -- so they sent a K-9 unit and a helicopter into the area to track him down.
Officials said they found the wanted man in the woods behind his home, wielding a knife -- and suffering from what appeared to be a self inflicted stab wound. He was taken to the Orlando Regional Medical Center for treatment, Central Florida News reported.
Deputies said he will be charged with attempted murder of his wife.
Still recovering in hospital, Christy Martin, nicknamed "The Coal Miner's Daughter," is known for her toughness in the ring, and is widely regarded as the most successful female boxer in the US.

it's common for men to be villified as "creepy" and perverted. It's the world's male version of slut shaming.
But being "creep shamed" is being nice. At times we get called rapists and pedophiles for doing absolutely nothing wrong.

It's the world's male version of slut shaming.
+1 Insightful.
I don't know how many conversations I've had with women that center on, "Why does that make a woman a 'slut' and not a man?" I'll be sure to bring up your observations on being "creepy" and ask for comment.

Slut shaming is much, much weaker than the stigma of the ever-predatory male. I'm not pointing this out to enhance my hypothetical self-victimization, but consider this: Slut shaming is recognized and a large subset of any Western country considers it overly conservative, abusive and anachronistic - these same people will defend what is essentially the human right to fuck whomever. Their is absolutely no demographic that will dare sympathetically speak up for a male that has been accused of predation in any fashion at all (partner abuse, pedophilia, stalking, manipulation or rape).
No one fucking dares. It's up there on the existential fears of almost every middle class male right after "small penis".
BOSTON -- The Massachusetts father who says his ex-wife kidnapped their two sons and took them home to Egypt visited his boys on Monday.
"I come back to the U.S. determined," said Colin Bower.
Fighting to get his boys back, Bower arrived back in Boston from Egypt on Tuesday morning, returning after meeting with 7-year old Ramsay and 9-year old Noor for 25 minutes on Monday. It was the first time he got the chance to see them in 13 months.
"It was a very emotional moment for me. It was something that I very much looked forward to, and it was very sad in many ways," said Bower.
..It's sad because Bower was awarded sole custody of the children following a divorce from his wife, Mirvat El-Nady, in 2008. A year later, his ex-wife fled to Egypt with the boys using fake passports.
Bower said it has been a living nightmare.
"When you see your children, the worst nightmare is when they're abducted, and then you wonder about their safety, and then you see them again for the first time and you realize they're not as healthy as they were when they left, and that's very sad. It's the worst thing a parent can see," said Bower.
Sen. John Kerry has sent three letters to senior government officials in Egypt over the past year.
"I hope that the involvement of the U.S. government can help bring this tragedy to its rightful conclusion by reuniting these boys with their father," wrote Sen. Kerry.
Dad returns to Boston after seeing kids in Egypt
..Bower, wrestling with a mix of emotions a day after finally seeing his boys, had a message for them.
"Noor, if you're watching, Daddy does not blame you. He does not blame Ramsey for any of this. Daddy loves you very much," said Bower.
Bower said a custody hearing is scheduled in Egypt next month, and he remains confident that he will eventually bring his boys back home.
Mother obsessed with computer game - A mother obsessed with computer game let her two dogs starve to death and neglected her three children. The mother obsessed with computer game begun playing almost non-stop on the internet for months. The 33-year-old British mother, who could not be named for legal reasons, was banned from keeping animals, accessing the internet, sentenced to six months' imprisonment, suspended for two years, and ordered to do 75 hours' of unpaid work.
The woman became obsessed with Small World, an online game, that she failed to feed her dogs and care for her children. Her children were forced to eat cold baked beans from a can with their fingers because she could not be bothered to heat them up or find a spoon.
Her German shepherd and Lurcher dog lay rotting in the dining room for two months as she played Small World on the internet almost non-stop. When police were called to her home they found rubbish strewn all over the floor in all rooms, mouldy food and a swarm of flies.
When t wee police went into the dining room they found the bodies of two pet dogs, a German Shepherd and a Lurcher, rotting on the floor.
The woman'slawyer said:
'She retreated into a completely different environment. She obviously became addicted to Small World.'
According to the Dailymail, the woman walked free after being handed a six month suspended jail sentence and ordered to carry out 75 hours of unpaid work. Maidstone Crown Court heard the woman's life had spiralled out of control after her husband died suddenly from a heart attack.
The woman received an invitation from a friend on Facebook to play Small World and had very quickly become hooked. The game featuring characters such a wizards, dwarves, orcs and giants is played like a traditional board game but online. The alarm was raised when a worried neighbour peered through the letterbox and saw the house was in an appalling condition. The police were called and officers gagged as they entered the home from the dreadful stench of 'decay and filth.'
Prosecutor Deepak Kapur said when officers arrived at the house in Swanley, Kent, in February the woman told them it was 'a bit of a mess.' They then saw huge amounts of rubbish strewn all over the floor in all rooms, with mouldy food covered in swarms of flies.
The woman tried to block officers from entering the dining room and when asked why she replied:
'All right, my dogs are in there. They are dead. I killed them.
'I probably starved them, probably because I have been playing the computer game all the time.'
Prosecutor Deepak Kapur added:
'Police discovered the bodies of the dogs. Flies were around them. The smell was so overpowering, making the officers retch.
'She started playing initially for an hour a day in late 2009 but since August of that year it had become an obsession to the point where she was only getting two hours sleep a night.'
She still managed to feed the children and get them to school but accepted she let everything else go. Afterwards, it became so overwhelming she didn't know where to start.'
'It got to the stage where she only bought food that didn't need cooking. She fed the children pot noodles, sandwiches, chips and pies. She was ashamed.'
The woman's attorney, Allan Compton, said the woman had been a devoted and competent mother until tragedy struck some years ago with the death of her husband from a heart attack.
'She retrated into this virtual world provided by her laptop computer. She shut herself off from the outside world and operated in the real world on a very basic level
'She retreated into a completely different environment. She obviously became addicted to Small World.'
Compton said that although the house was now habitable, her three children had been taken into care, though she hoped to be reunited with them in the near future.
Judge Jeremy Carey told her:
'I am satisfied you have been a good mother but your life went very badly wrong when you became obsessed with the Small World computer game. You retreated into a virtual world that has absolutely no relationship to the real world.
'Your children were badly neglected indeed. "There was decay and filth all around in wholly degrading circumstances. This was serious offending.'
Judge Carey also banned her from keeping animals and banned the woman from having any internet access or order to remove the 'temptation' to return to the virtual world.
Last night neighbours said the woman had 'turned over a new leaf' and was now attempting to rebuild her life in order that her children are returned to her.
'It was dreadful what happened but the woman was probably in some sort of grief or shock after the death of her husband.'
