Well all you have to do is put this sort of thing into the poll option text box:

<img src="http://cgi-bin.spaceports.com/~evillair/forum/images/avatars/gallery/face/swordgirl.gif">

You can find out the name of the avatar icons by doing a right-click and then "save as" from the select avatar page.
