1) A father is kicked out of the house by a woman
2) He has limited contact with his kids if he is lucky
3) The state mandates that he pay money to the woman who kicked him out of his home

4) Father's day comes around once a year and the state of Ohio runs adds telling them to pay up?

Has this world gone crazy?

The ADA made a powerful point.  She is trying to pain the defendant as a cruel villainous person.  I hope she is going for the death penalty.

I am sure the defense attorney was painting the defendant as a pitiful victim.

When someone already has most of the power, it is cruel for them to resort to illegal means to exact revenge.

Spc Swift's decision to go public in her charges against three of her superiors - is rare in the US military where veteran advocates say women risk retribution if they complain of harassment.

I think this is bullshit.  The military is usually by the book.  My gut tells me the opposite is probably true - superiors are afraid of subordinate females because the power false allogations carry.

I think that is mostly because men are better at it, instead of just looking for attention. What's more likely to kill you, Tylenol or a Ruger?

Or another way to look at it is... men get things done instead of dithering.

I think society has pretty high expectations of men.  When I was coming up, I always felt a lot of pressure to earn the respect of people around me.  If I did not get any traction on my self development efforts... who knows what could have happened.

Now that I am older and have overcome or achieved many things, I am confident in myself and do not give a crap about society's expectations.

I can see the obedient part - but obedience should come from respect, duty, and admiration - not fear.

There's a load of laundry with your name on it.

My friend Brad has a stay at home wife.  He knocks down $100,000+ per year and is always honing skills so that he will not be caught flat footed in the shifting IT job market.  Not only does Brad pay ALL of the bills and keep his family in a comfortable home, he does the laundry.  The stay at home wife on the other hand has poor cooking skills, and the house is usually a wreck.

Unlike a woman, who can chat with a friend while folding laundry with one hand and feeding the baby with the other, he says he's just no good at domestic multitasking.

While the husband is grappling hour after hour with how to get a particular piece of code to work efficiently (which would save $200k per month for his customer), she is able to multitask by drinking a $5 Starbucks coffee while driving a $45k Suburban in heavy traffic, as she talks on the cell phone on the way to the mall to meet a friend for some shopping.

How to deal: From a kid's perspective, playing with Dad at day's end is much more important than getting to sleep right on time.

Oh bullshit - everyone know a man is optional in a modern family - who let him in the house anyway?

sounds to me like the men are being descriminated against.  Why must they play more sets in the age of equality?

Good question. Maybe they should change that.

I have often seen women claiming to be more enduring than men.

Yes - I have heard that women are better than men in most things - hmm I am so confused....

David Smith, honorary professor of criminology at Edinburgh university and editor of the European Journal of Criminology, said he found the results "surprising".

"The number of women who admit to assaulting men is interesting as it's well known that men are more violent than woman."

It is surprising that a professor is unable to make a distinction between different spheres of violence.

That men are more violent to eachother than women does not mean that men are more violent to women than women are to men.

The 'thinking' of this criminology 'professor' seems to go along these lines: More men are in prison for violent crimes than women - ergo men must be more violent in the specific category of partner violence.

They are not. Men are stronger though.

I saw a report by the DOJ - they said that the vast majority of male violence is directed at other males.
