500 lb. Supermodel: I'm Looking For Love
Monday October 6, 2003
ONE OF the world's biggest beauties is looking for the next great love of her life, but be warned: She may weigh in at a jaw-dropping 500 pounds, but she's not going to settle for just anyone. And you may have to get in line!
"Have I had relationships with men? Oh my God, yes," says Teighlor, the professional name of a California girl who's been one of the world's most in-demand supersize models. "And I was just told by a guy I had a business relationship with that he's had a crush on me for nine years."
But like most everyone else, Teighlor's also been burned by love. One of her most serious relationships turned abusive after she gave up everything and moved across the country to be with the man who claimed to love her. She put more than two years into that relationship before she finally got out.
So, like most everyone else, Teighlor's looking for love. But she's looking very carefully. Not so much at outside appearances, but deep inside -- to the man within.
"I want someone who is generally in a good mood. I don't want a pessimist," the 46-year-old femme fat-ale says, in a telephone interview from her home in Santa Monica, Calif.
"I want someone who has a good sense of humor, someone who is relatively intelligent."
Here's how Teighlor describes her "knight in shining armor," in a personal ad she's posted on her Web site:
"Nice smile; good sense of humor (hates Jim Carrey, loves Dennis Miller or Stephen Wright); intelligent; articulate . . . generous of heart (supportive, kind, good listener); loves good films, good food, good conversation; is willing to take a friendship and let it develop into a relationship rather than jumping into sex straight away . . . The man I wind up with will thank his lucky stars that he read this ad. I intend to spoil him rotten (in every conceivable way)!"
"The only aesthetic quality I look for is height," she says on the phone. "I like a tall man, at least 5 foot 10 inches. I feel big enough without being with someone who comes up to my knees!"
