Well, there is a bigger story.
Add another big chapter to the book on Male Disposability. I have no doubt the politically correct would have no problem seeing race as a factor in some of the atrocities below so why can't they see male disposability?
Medical experimentation as a topic (below), might go well juxtaposed to Carey Roberts's article about the current day Women's Health Hoax, or just as a point of reference in a wider discussion, regarding disparities between men's and women's health. I may even be overlooking some male roles where experimentation has occurred, such as in the work world. Given the history of asbestos worker tragedies, that would be but one.
The last time I checked 93% of the prison population was male, and to the best of my recollection, the majority of male inmates are black men.

"In Dec 1952, Harold Blauer, a civilian in excellent physical health, but depressed following his divorce, was voluntarily admitted to the New York State Psychiatric Institute for treatment of depression. While at the Institute, he was injected on five different occasions with three different mescaline derivatives supplied by the U.S. Army Chemical Corps to determine the clinical effects of chemical warfare agents in a research project that was classified secret. He reluctantly consented to the first injection, which was fraudulently offered to him as a treatment for his depression. After each of the first four injections, the subject told the nurses that he did not want any further injections, because of his adverse reactions. However, the nurses and staff motivated him to further participation by telling him that he would be returned to Bellevue Hospital if he did not continue with the injections. After the fifth injection, which was 16 times stronger than the previous injection of this new compound, his body stiffened, his teeth clenched, and he began frothing at the mouth for 2 hours until he lapsed into a coma and died. The death certificate attributed the death to "coronary arteriosclerosis; sudden death after intravenous injection of a mescaline derivative." The subject's ex-wife filed suit for medical malpractice against the State of New York, which operated the Institute. There were numerous conferences between the state's attorney, and attorneys for both the U.S. Army and U.S. DoJ. The state's attorney told the U.S. that he believed that, if all the facts were disclosed to plaintiff, the suit was worth at least $ 60,000."

US admits radiation experiments on 20 000 veterans
"The military detailed that it sponsored about 2400 radiation experiments. One of the more popular projects carried out entailed the insertion of radium rods into the nostrils of servicemen with inner ear and sinus problems. Typically, a 50 milligram rod of radium was pushed through the patient's nostril and left to lie against the eustachian tube for up to 15 minutes at a time. This pro-cedure was repeated every few months. The radiation induced mucosal shrinkage and allowed the ears and sinuses to drain. Between 8000 and 20 000 American air and submarine crew received such treatments, which allowed them to work in extremes of atmospheric pressures."
