Sorry Brian, I forgot to add that I didn't see the Comic Relief Apprentice. The whole concept of the show bewilders me, it's like on the one hand their trying to make to feel sad and concerned about the people in Africa etc, whilst trying to make you laugh. One minute it's AIDs and then the next it's Davina McCall mugging at the camera, trying to be a bit 'crazy'.
What I did notice though was how often women and children are portrayed as the ones needing 'your help'. Most of the little videos to remind you why you're supposed to be watching show the plight everyone but men, including one of the homeless ones, which featured a teenage girl on the streets.
But I guess they do that because people have more sympathy when they are being shown women and kids, rather than seeing a man in a tough spot and saying "why doesn't he just get a job?"
If the money goes to help everyone though then I guess it makes sense.
