I can think of several very good reasons to go after Walmart.
#1 They have been busted numerous times having good manufactured in foreign countries and relabeling them (often in Mexico and Guatamala) as made in the U.S.A.. I don't like fraud. They knew what they were doing, they asked their supply chain for the relabeling and even started their *own* factory in Guatamala to relabel garments from suppliers that would not play ball.
#2 Censorship. Walmart edits movies & CD's without informing the end customer that the movies & CD's have been edited. This is simply dishonest and again it's a case of misrepresentation. The customer does not end up with what he or she thought they were buying. (Though the Two-Live-Crew Walmart edit is rather funny to listen to.)
#3 How they handled #1 and #2. They denied #1, got caught again. Said the problem was fixed. Got caught again. Denied. Got caught yet again. Denied. Got caught yet again and again and again. #2 Denied. Admitted. Refused refunds. Sued. Finally allowed refunds. Sued again. Still will not inform end customer.
#4 Notorious for removing hours from employees time cards. Again, I don't like people who commit fraud. Even if the fraud isn't being done against me -- I believe in an honest days pay for an honest days work. Removing hours from employee time cards and having to make your employees take you to court to get it settled -- and taking punitive actions against employees who press to be paid for their actual hours worked doesn't strike me as a kind of place I want to support. Walmart PR: Denied. Convicted. Had to pay. Denied wrongdoing. Scenario repeats itself again and again.
#5 Consistent pattern of fraud and never coming clean and just saying "Yes, we did it, we will fix it" and folowing through and actually fixing it.
