Why is a statement like that ok?
It is OK because the tiresome litany of those who proclaim themselves to be feminists just never changes. After more than 35 years of experiencing this I have found that the best approach to respond to the straw man attack is to become the straw man IN SPADES and make a complete parody out of the absurd allegations.
Those who are overbearingly dogmatic and doctrinaire and bound and determined to make the ordinary man the new Jew in Nazi Germany deserve no respect or difference. In fact I have gone far beyond feeling any obligation to even pretend to be civil with them.
That's why that statement is OK......if it is OK to collectively malign men and to disenfranchise them with public policy "from a feminist perspective" then it is ok to express contempt, animosity, and hostility in response.
