Use of Anonymizers

It depends on what you're using for a backend Doc. Obviously you're running some kind of database to track email addresses. You would have to set up a list of validated ip's (which I believe you've already done) in the db and run a stored procedure in the db to set a flag whenever somebody logs in with a userid that doesn't match the validated ip. The login would have to be modified to check the flag and disallow access to all but the arena.

Since I know that the guest account does exactly the above (i.e. no login no access) I know that your forum software has the capability. Are you able to make modifications to your forum software and db?

That's a good point Jimbo. You could simply create a forum that allowed guest posting/reading/responding and keep the present main forum as is with no guest access.

I kind of figured your forum software could do this. One other point - you could probably set an icon in the ignore/buddy etc list so that posters who are being disrupted by someone could bump that poster over to the arena. Of course that would require a bit more work but it would definitely be an asset for the more faint-at-heart of the board members. I don't think the ignore feature is really very helpful.

When was pornography posted on SheThinks? As far as I can remember, pictures were disabled there. Maybe someone was posting links or something, but I really don't remember that.

There were many nasty things posted about peoples families and many posters here including the administrator, stated to those who were attacked that they should get over it, it's just the internet. From what I am to understand from reading this thread, apparently, this is advice they themselves refuse to take.

I was a poster at SheThinks toward the end, I was treated ok but for the most part was ignored.

There was one person here who spoke of male genitalia and how much she liked it over and over again, in fact she is on this thread. I may just be an old fuddy duddy from a different generation but one thing I do know is you can't dance on both sides of the coin. If you want to make comments like " I Love cock" and the like, you exempt yourself from howls of whoa of pornographic content on a message board particularly if if is only in text. I say to you Amber, you are very clever, but it is time to get off the dime. You are wearing your guilt on your sleeve.

I am in agreement with this. Another pet peeve of mine I am afraid. People forever threatening to leave and never darken this door again should have the good manners to exit stage left after grabbing the microphone in order to announce their intentions to do so.

I don't know. Are you using a anonymizer? If not, then I see NO reason for banning you.

First of all, banning Anniee and UR and the bannings at MS are not in anyway similar. Anniee and UR are being banned because of their trolling, ugly behavior. Bannings at MS are over ideological disagreement. Big difference there, bub.

Now you're comparing my shock jock antics at Shethinks to a bunch of trolls who posted about 20+ threads about "Staci and Amber" being together. Not the same. I mostly did what I did to shut UR the hell up, and it worked. Quite a number of people found my slogan of "COCK IS GOOD" to be quite charming.
