College Athlete Charged With Killing Baby

ERIE, Pa. (Sept. 18) - A Mercyhurst College volleyball player was charged Tuesday with killing the baby she secretly gave birth to in her campus apartment bathroom.

Teri Rhodes hid the pregnancy from friends and teammates, told a doctor two days before the Aug. 12 birth that she didn't think she was pregnant and did Internet research on topics including "what can kill a fetus," Erie police said.

After giving birth, the 18-year-old Rhodes put the newborn in a plastic bag and left it on the floor of a bathtub as she showered, according to the criminal complaint.

Among other counts, Rhodes was charged with homicide, abusing a corpse and concealing the death of a child. Her attorney, Philip Friedman, declined to comment.

She has been charged, I am happy to report that.

However, this brings up other issues in my mind:

1) Safe Haven Laws - yeah, they make perfect sense in order to prevent murdered babies (since women have been taught that they do not have to be responsible, her body her choice, etc...) but where are the Safe Haven laws for daddy?Where is the time period where daddy can shake off the responsibility with no questions asked?

2)  So she killed the baby right after birth, that made it illegal. However, if she had killed the baby before birth (just a matter of minutes) it would have been legal. Intentional miscarriage perhaps.

These things really bother the piss out of me. Now, I am going to the bathroom.
I will stop staring at your boobs when you stop staring at my paycheck!

What good did safe haven do here? Safe haven is available in PA

And she chose not only to hide the pregnancy, not get an abortion but then not use safe haven and murdered the child.

BTW how does a volley ball player hide being pregnant?

How many damn options do girls get? What?! I'm serious! She can abort at any time. She can give the kid up for adoption, no questions asked. She can just walk into a police station or hospital and just drop the kid off. She has like a BIZILLION OPTIONS and she still fucking murdered the baby!

So what good are all these damn choices if women DON'T USE THEM AND JUST KILL THE KID?! So do we give them that option too? A post birth abortion?

Feminists - "Verbally beating men like dumb animals or ignoring them is all we know and its not working."

I brought up the safe haven laws because they come to mind in cases like this. She didn't use them but still...they come to mind and when they do there is a HUGE inequality in them.

She cannot abort after the beginning of the third trimester but she can have an intentional accident that causes a miscarraige (a nasty, convenient fall down the stairs and probably sue for it too).
