Would you have the ability to display account status of members (banned or not banned) so that it is available without having to keep pestering the mods for an updated list.

I meant a la Ms. where the status of a poster "BANNED", etc. is displayed wherever they post.  Or at least on the member list.  This way new bannings (if any) become obvious without requesting a list and claims of bannings can be verified without having to trouble the mods.

If it is not possible then it is not.  Depends on the board software I suppose.

Cog - I checked the documentation and it doesn't seem to do the MS sort of thing.  It disallows the username from posting but doesn't alert others that that username has been banned.  It seems that it would be useful to have but it's not offered that I can tell.
