Once again, if I was to use the "you-can't-prove-that-Ireland-is-an-island" example...and made the assertion that representing Ireland as an island is a conspiracy of the owners of the ferry service in order to assure job security and continued subsidies from the involved UK governments...and used the arguementation that conspiracy theorists use, you could not prove me wrong.

Let me put it this way....if you can provide me with the address of where the meetings of this Illuminatii conspiracy actually take place...then I will organize a conspiracy to blow that address off the face of the globe at an opportune moment when all of the conspirators are attending a regular Thursday night meeting.

Having worked on various projects over my lifetime which involve planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and staffing....I am just too skeptical to believe that any platoon of people could actually do what the conspiracy theorists say without being vampires who are three or four centuries old.

The answer to the "why"politicians do it is this......

When you create a "legis (law) lature (writer)" you have created a widget factory which MUST write laws in order to justify it's continued existance. Laws are make work projects for lawyers. It is no more complex than that.

Picture that scene in Disney's animated production of "The Sorcerers Apprentice" in which mindless broomsticks continue to fill a water cistern that does not need filling.

If family law  was reformed the way we as MRAs would like it, most law firms could not pay their office rent.

The dollar is devalued because the debt to equity(the rate goods and services are produced) ratio it is based on is out of whack due to the expenditures for the Iraq war and continued dependance on imported oil.

If there is a conspiracy to put the whole North American continent under one rule I highly doubt that it is Canadians Mexicans or Panamanians who are in favour of it.

As for the CIA being highly meddelsome in domestic affairs...you don't know the half of it.

I agree.  We have so little ethos and influence at this point that this sort of thing can be devastating and is just the sort of thing that the fembots love to quote and point fingers towards as proof of our idiocy.

I've been following these types of sites and postings on the 'Net for some time.  I also know something about how governments work, as well as human nature.  Also everyone who  has worked knows their overseer does NOT fully disclose his agenda to his underlings.  I think it's a good idea to understand how the money system works, how "events" are contrived or exploited to ensure public compliance with political agendas.
Now having said that, I submit feminism would not survive without government support.  Can anyone recall ANY feminist protest that the power structure responded to with violence? Because I can't.

My response to this is simple.  Say nothing and do as little as possible to support the power structure.  For the time being I simply use credit cards and take the balance in cash.  Food such as grains can be had fairly cheaply and can last a long time.  Knowing how to garden is a good idea.  Developing one's own self-sufficiency to lesson one's ability to be beholden I don't think is a bad idea.  Actively anticipating a police state where one has no rights would be something worth considering.  My focus is what I CAN do.
