Check out the "Watch the 2008 preview"

We have a rip-off of the BBC show "The Week the women went" (too bad some of them didn't stay away). The commercials for this show the stupid men dropping and breaking dishes, dragging kids down the hall by the pants etc. etc. because I can't hold a dish without dropping it if my wife is not home. And the women go do the men's jobs - ooops - I mean they go on a week-long vacation to a resort/spa. The BBC one had the men have to build a fence around the community centre if I recall correctly - very realistic to what women do around my community - building roads, fences and whatnot while the men lounge at the spa.

Then we have a much touted "FRESH NEW COMEDY!" Look, a single not-quite-yet-a-mother since she hasn't had the kid yet, as the hero. Her boyfriend is a scumbag of course. And every fucking commercial I have seen for this has one element in common which tells me they think it's the funniest thing that will draw folks in - she drives some sort of implement - could be a knife - not sure, it goes by quick - right at his head and he ducks and it sticks in the wall. HAHAHAHAHAAHAHHA OMFG domestic violence is so funny! - when a man is the target. Other funny scenes are her throwing shit at him from a second story window and her telling a gay man rubbing her back what a wonderful husband he would be. But it kills me that in most of the commercial as the knife goes whizzing by you hear the voiceover say "FRESH NEW COMEDY!"

I won't watch it. But it burns my ass because my tax money is used to make this shit.

Go ahead now Devia and rationalize it away.

Gotta love that government run TV.

The thing that bugs me most is the very same people pumping this crap out in the name of social justice were the same ones hurt when TV was one religious voice run by special interest in control and dictating the shows. These same people complain about those days. Now they do exactly the samething. They are now the special interest group forcing shows that otherwise wouldn't make it in a fair market place.

So its wrong for one special interest to make all the shows have religious messages in the past but its perfectly OK to have TV shows today have progressive messages using the same underhanded tactic and then bitch about it when it happened to you as a kid. Just amazing.

I've really noticed BBC has almost some huge quota for gays and blacks on TV. Like maybe 3% to 5% of the population is gay yet nearly every single BBC show on BBC America has gay characters in them or every third person is black. Watch Dr. Who and black people are in the middle ages yelling at whites.

And what's sad are gays were the ones who, when they were kids, had to watch TV with messages from one special interest group that denounced them. Now they turn around and the new special interest does the same bad thing.

There was a similar rip-off program where I am, Mr. Nickle.

I didn't watch the program, but the advertisement showed a man simply throwing an egg on the stove, without a pan, in an attempt to cook it.

All I could gather was that if the women went away, the man would starve to death.

I don't know if they can get any more stupid and have the public buy it.

Canada used to be the land of Lumberjacks and Mounties. Here in the States we used to not wory about trouble from the north because you guys had it covered. Now I don't know...
You may sleep soundly at night because rough men stand ready to visit violence upon those who seek to harm you.

Of course if all the men went away then there would be no food to cook, so the women would starve too.

That pisses me off. My son is 12 and already cooks better and enjoys it more than most women I know.
