i'm stating a fact. ur kind of sensitive to be saying i'm dissing fathers again. i'm dissing deadbeat loser men who don't have the right to call themselves the father of anyone. do you not think men actually walk away from their children?

But why are you doing this? i don't know, that's what he said i was doing so i just responded in that way. i was stating a fact and he called it "dissing."

And yes 100% I think men should call themselves fathers if they have in the past walked away from the children. Just as I feel the same way about mothers.

A child only has one biological father and one biological mother. Granted it is hard on one parent when the other parent hasn't been in the picture for a while and decides to come in and be a parent. But that is what you have to allow to happen if you love your child more than yourself. That is what putting the interest of the child first is all about.

No-one is truly a deadbeat. Everyone has great points and bad points.

that is rather idealistic, imo. it's a privilege to call oneself a mother or a father. i know i am very privileged to be a mother. it is the best thing that has ever happened to me. i wouldn't deserve the title if i didn't take care of my responsibilities and duties. someone who walks away from his or her family is a deadbeat. how they want to redeem themselves is their prerogative, not mine. oh and anyone who beats their kids and/or vebally/mentally abuses them is a deadbeat in my books, too.

I am a deadbeat. Most of the people I know from high positions to low positions to the streets are all deadbeats. Every CEO, every teacher, every doctor, every judge and every lawyer and every feminist. All deadbeats.

I don't condone parents beating up their kids but I condone smacking for discipline. I don't condone abuse yet I sometimes understand it.  The perfect parent doesn't exist BTW.

Yet, this is war. The parents are fighting against the state in my country.

We should add on banners, "The right to be a deadbeat"  :toothy9:
Can you imagine 75% - 85% of the country holding these banners in our protest walks.

Truly, I am going to add this.

why are you a deadbeat if you don't mind my asking? i think i read that you beat your kids, right? sorry to sound so blunt. i don't agree with any form of corporal punishment towards children, smacking/spanking included. we aren't allowed to smack adults around and neither should we be allowed to smack/spank children. i wouldn't go so far as to make it illegal, but it really needs more attention.
call me crazy, but why would anyone want the right to be a deadbeat? i guess you're talking along the lines of being human...? i agree with the right to be human and make mistakes. and i also disagree with your claim that everyone is a deadbeat. why do you say this?

Deadbeat moms? I do not understand. Your writtings are strange and unclear to me. I have never seen the words deadbeat and mother next to each other. I've seen a few about "and women" and a few about "and mothers" but I can't say I've ever seen the words "deadbeat and moms" beside one another. It falls into the "I before E accept after C catagory." Go ahead google the words "deadbeat" and see what you get. My guess is it will be a half million different links to "deadbeat dad" sites and stories and maybe a few of the "deadbeat dad and women" or "deadbeat dad and mothers". Therefor in order to write properly you must never write the words deadbeat and mother or women without inserting "dad and" inbetween them or your going to confuse us guys. WE ARE THE SCUM NOT YOU! SO QUIT TRYING TO STEAL OUR SCUMMY GLORY! Dads are the deadbeats, women are the and's got it?  :toothy9:

Since this means something to you, I should find another name. Hmm, I wonder what they will call the mothers.

All the mothers whose babies are taken from CYFS while still in the maternity ward, all the mothers who will lose their children through the new social workers in primary schools, all the mothers whose children continue to divorce them in the FC because they wanted to go to a party instead of doing their homework, all the mothers whose children play up or get into a fight or seem depressed and welfare is called, all the mothers who are foster parents and show any signs of neglect, all the mothers who smack a child especially the grandmothers who are arrested while at the checkout and all the mothers whose children get into trouble at school and are suspended, all the mothers whose children are in childcare and show a sign of a cold or a fever or a mark, blah, blah, blah.

I suppose now that the fathers are finished they can go after the mothers.

Hmmm, I will think of a word to use instead of deadbeat mum.  :toothy9:

I haven't actually beaten my kids. Yet, I had written about abuse. It could fall under emotional abuse or verbal abuse if my child felt scared.

I have got a record as a possibility of emotional abuse under the child welfare system. That's the minimal thing they can class you with. Never eventuated but there was a possibility.  :angel4:

But I am lucky now, for they are grown ups.

But what country are you in? It is already law here to not smack a child?

Yeah, you guessed it. It is about being human. We all get judged and there is always something they can get you on.

When it comes to CS, society and politicians are very quick to call paying parents deadbeats and they always refer it to fathers. There must be hundreds of cases on men's sites. When you get a chance look around.

i think it's just a bunch of big cry babies in here who wish they could do what women can do: sustain pregnancies, give birth, breastfeed their offspring...all things they will never be able to do.

Observe, gents and ladies ... well, okay, you feminists too ... the attempt at shaming language from the Common North American Feminist.

Um - one *teensy* correction, Ms. Uninformed - breast tissue in men can become active.  We can even get breast cancer.

Here's what womanists like you don't get - Becoming pregnant and giving birth doesn't make you a mother.  Only makes you a woman in a biological sense.

It's the follow up on that that earns you the title of "mommy."  Just like the follow up makes you "daddy" - assuming the state and a vindictive woman doesn't lock you out of your own child's life.

Pregnancy?  Birth?  Animals do it.  Women in comas get pregnant.  A brain dead woman has given birth.  In that respect it makes you a biological incubator, with the biological function of childbirth of no more moral significance than a bowel movement.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the Shadow of death, I shall fear no evil, for I am the MEANEST son-of-a-bitch in the valley.

so what? i think you're being a little judgmental to think that just because i'm a feminist means i'm void of all other feelings for other causes and situations. would it surprise you to know that i'm against circumcision? i'm a pretty colorful person. being a feminist doesn't make me any less of a person. it's those OTHER feminists you want to lump me with. kinda reminds me of when someone of a certain race commits a crime against you so you associate all of people of that race with that crime. it's wrong and you know it.

You seem like a typical Western adolescent princess, in love with sound of her own voice, with no inclination to research the unpleasant side of cultural marxism (why should you, you are the primary beneficiary of the present system?)

Feminism de-humanizes men and idealizes women, you really don't see that?

"I'm not that kind of feminist": standard comeback, it's getting very old - are you familiar with Christina Hoff-Sommers?  she did a good job of describing gender feminism (ie. contemporary feminism) in comparison to equity feminism (ie. women's liberation)
