Man hangs himself after being falsely accused of raping women and children
Last updated at 09:57am on 21st March 2008

A man who lost his job after being falsely accused of a horrific sex crime has been found hanged in a shed.

Ian Adams, 51, was suspended and then sacked from his job at a local IKEA store after his employers received a letter saying he had raped a woman and her two children.

The writer claimed to be a journalist on a local newspaper, but the name and address in the letter were false and the author has never been traced.

Police confirmed that Mr Adams, from Highams Park East, London, had never been arrested or convicted of a sexual offence or had any complaints made against him.

Mr Adams' life went downhill as he struggled to recover from the accusations.

He failed to get his job back after being sacked in January. His drinking led to problems with his partner and he spent the last few nights of his life sleeping in a storage shed at the bottom of the block of flats in which he lived.

A neighbour, who did not wish to be named, said: "If it wasn't for that letter he would still be here, I am sure of it.

"He was happy and full of himself when he was working, he was more or less dancing on his way to work. But he went from working all day to doing nothing.

Ikea claimed that it had only suspended him from the premises until Symonds had carried out an investigation, while Symonds claimed that it had no choice but to let him go because Ikea would not let him work on its premises.

*sigh*

Who ever wrote that letter should be aggressively hunted down and tried for murder.  I also put just as much blame on Ikea.

What I find amazing (ok not really, maybe shocking.. ok maybe not even shocking but disturbing) is that its so easy to simply send a letter to an employer and ruin some guy's life like that.

One of the problems with some women thinking its OK to lie about rape cause it somehow "evens the score" is they then don't get it when someone falls apart like this cause of the accusation. They toss around false rape allegation like dispensing coupons on a street corner then wonder why someone would get upset. The meaning for them becomes moot. Also they then believe other women less simply because they themselves lie, know other women lie and its a tool.

What's worse is once you're rubberstamped with a rapist label, men know no one will truly believe they are not rapists. You're doomed to have that label forever. So I can see the guy ending it all.
Feminists - "Verbally beating men like dumb animals or ignoring them is all we know and its not working."

There is precedence for this in AmeriKan law. A man was charged for the death of his wife who drove over a cliff with the kids. Prosecutor said he should have or did know she was suicidal.
Explaining misandry to a feminist is like explaining "wet" to a fish.

But but but you can just go on with your life after a false accusation. Thats why all the FEMS are against females that lie about rape. :rolle:
You may sleep soundly at night because rough men stand ready to visit violence upon those who seek to harm you.
