Look here:
Domestic violence 'costs £5.8bn
Quote
Domestic violence costs the British economy £5.8bn a year and significantly depresses women's ability to contribute to economic growth, the attorney general told French ministers and former victims in Paris yesterday.

Speaking ahead of International End Violence Against Women Day, which takes place today, Baroness Scotland said the cost to business alone - through absence, loss of productivity and rapid turnover of employees - is estimated at £2.7bn. The cost to the public sector, in terms of medical and social services, was a further £3.1bn.

She was speaking at the invitation of Rachida Dati, France's justice minister. The French minister said efforts to protect vulnerable women and make concrete change was one of France's priorities throughout its presidency of the EU.

"Baroness Scotland and I share a determination to campaign for the rights of women and those affected by violence," Dati said.

Scotland's appearance at the French Ministry of Justice comes as the government today introduces a law to tackle forced marriage, seen as one of the significant causes of violence against women. The law creates new powers for government and the courts to protect victims, although it "had not criminalised forced marriage", the attorney general said.

Remember the other official peices of sentencious bilge surrronding the previous £23 billion costs of sex oppressions to society of which the figure is now changed.

You will all recall sometime ago the UKs liberal socialist machine freely spilling the £23 Billion lie about. As propaganda that is.

Well they've heard the general outcry surrounding their imagined figure of £23 Billion chosen only to create an impression of authenticity. Now guess what even the same propaganda sources spreading the previous imaginary lie have done eh ?

They've changed it downwards !!!. That is adjusting it backwards to £5.8 Billion, another imaginary figure, but one that is in fitting with these generally economically austere times.

These people are absolutely shameless.

In the last link on the pay gap I found the following quote:

Quote
But the commission found the pay gap had its roots in schools, with girls more likely to choose badly paid careers such as the caring professions over lucrative sectors such as science and engineering. Prosser said pupils interviewed by the commission were being badly advised.

So in some ways they got it right.  The finally realized that the pay gap resulted from the choices of women.  But since women cannot be held accountable for their choices and behaviors they now blame the schools (men!) for having given them bad advice!  Is there no end to misandry and womanitarianism?  Unbelievable.

The Women at Work Commission will warn that, more than 30 years after pay discrimination was supposedly outlawed, there are still too few women in the boardroom and too many stuck in lowly jobs who are capable of much more - a syndrome that costs the economy £23 billion a year in wasted talent.

Exactly Doc.

They know its a manufactured lie. We know its a manufactured lie. Even stray dogs in the street know its a manufactured lie.

But even in the text of the guardians link above of which you point, they still then persisted with the figure of £23 Billion. As if the delusion that there ever was a pay gap was made true, factual and real on account of its being £23 billion, and not say £24 Billion. ... Or £22 Billion.

Now for our purposes here, who wants to place a bet that in a few weeks or months time, the new ficticious figure of £5.8 Billion instead will also replace the alleged  £23 Billion in other areas. And be bandied about as the new annual cost of things women only suffer on account of their femaleness. That is as, a pay gap, pain/suffering gap, overtime gap in addition to the domestic violence amount ?

There are only two ways to close the male/female earnings gap (it's not a "pay gap"):  Force women to work harder, and/or force men to slack-off as much as women do.

However, the main thing in common with both approaches is the use of force.  Scary.
"Men in teams... got the human species from caves to palaces. When we watch men's teams at work, we pay homage to 10,000 years of male achievements; a record of vision, ingenuity and Herculean labor that feminism has been too mean-spirited to acknowledge."  Camille Paglia

Men?
Schools?
Men in schools?
Are there?
Doing it by osmosis I guess.
In 95% of things 100% of people are alike. It's the other 5%, the bits that are different, that make us interesting. It's also the key to our existence, and future, as a species.

Why doesn't this say, "Domestic violence AGAINST WOMEN costs the British economy £5.8bn a year and significantly depresses women's ability ..."?

Because DV and DV Against Women are not the same thing even if you disregard violence against men. DV is all encompassing. It includes elder violence, homo violence, etc. See how they set this up? "DV costs $x amount of dollars so we have to stop DV against women." NO! Let's stop all forms of DV. Women are EQUAL to men and deserve no special treatment in the area of stopping DV.
Explaining misandry to a feminist is like explaining "wet" to a fish.

when I worked in the jects, it was a big wake up call to me as far as what domestic violence really is
I saw brother/brother in law fights
cousin fights, mom vs  daughters bf/sons gf
all kinds of springer shit
and I would be willing to bet only 30-40% of DV is intimate partner violence
