Youtube removed "Men's Movement Revealed - Sex Culture and a Mission", because my background music by the Goo Goo Dolls was said to be copyright infringement.

It is not very unusual for Youtube to remove a video, but I can search Youtube under Goo Goo Dolls and see hundreds of videos (all breaking copyright), many of which also include video of the Dolls in concert. Also, kids lipsincing to background music is a staple of Youtube videos.

So I wonder how they decided to pick my video for removal. Maybe no a big conspiracy like who shot JFK, but kinda weird.

Stop using copyrighted music. Got to www.soundogs.com and for a couple of bucks buy a license free music track. Then they will pull your video because the Arabic alphabet type you're using is copyrighted  :toothy9:

Protest this.  Tell them that no copyright was infringed due to your youtube being an educational video.  There are different rules for educational programs.

50 Years of Castro's communism.
3rd January 2009

With a nose ring and a mop of black curls, Gorki is an unhappy child of Fidel Castro's Communist Revolution. The punk rocker, who is passing into middle age, sat in his sparsely furnished flat in Havana yesterday contemplating the viciousness of his recent punishment: four years of hard labour for irritating the neighbours by holding band practice at home.

Gorki, who has been released on probation, is a model of good behaviour. His flat is bare boards and unadorned. There are no instruments around and the ashtrays are overflowing. The single couch is ripped at every seam.

He tips back and forth on a wooden rocker, trying to make sense of his predicament: as an enemy of the Revolution he is now forbidden from performing in public.

The 40-year-old musician mimes with an air guitar how he and the band practice as silently as possible.

"I am being slowly suffocated by this regime," he says with a look of desperate hopelessness.

A four-year jail sentence was lifted after a global outcry in August.

Thanks Mr. X. I guess that is the solution though the music is not quite as good.

I regret paying $27 for the Goo Goo Dolls CD now!

The link is actually www.sounddogs.com.

I am interested in making men's issues videos for youtube, but I don't even know where to start.  Can anyone suggest good software/tutorials to get me started?

Thanks!

It turns out that YouTube provides copyright free crappy music.  That's what I used to get my video posted again.

I made my videos using MS Movie Maker which is free with MS XP and Vista.  It is very simple and primitive software.  That is why my videos don't look as polished as some others.

Check out this guy's videos.  Very high quality.  http://www.youtube.com/user/1menaregood1  I wonder what software he uses.

Anyway, it would be great to see some video that you are going to make.  The more, the better.  Also, if Movie Maker is all you can afford, go ahead anyway.  You can still make something nice.

In a couple of semesters I hope to be in the Final Cut Pro class at my local community college.  I hear that is a really good video editing class.  I have to get by the Media Arts prerequisites before they'll let be take this Adobe class.

I successfully completed a class in Photoshop last semester and did well.  I'd do some posters, but I'm so busy with school work right now I don't have time.

This spring I'm taking a video editing class for the IMac software, a journalism class, and a photography class.  Journalism at this junior college really sucks.  It's loaded with so much PC garbage (lies/propaganda) I feel like throwing up.

Unfortunately, in a lot of these classes you have to do the "crap projects" they assign to learn how to use the software, and are not allowed to work on something like a men's activism project.

The school bookstore offers an enormous software discount on Final Cut Pro.  It's worth it to enroll in the college just for that discount.  Student software discounts are awesome.

I have been using (getting by) making primitive videos with the video editing software that came with my Sony desktop computer.

I hear Sony makes a decent movie editing software called Sony Vegas Movie Studio, and Sony Vegas Movie Studio Pro, but have not used either.
