Can anyone suggest good software/tutorials to get me started?
In a couple of semesters I hope to be in the Final Cut Pro class at my local community college. I hear that is a really good video editing class. I have to get by the Media Arts prerequisites before they'll let be take this Adobe class.
I successfully completed a class in Photoshop last semester and did well. I'd do some posters, but I'm so busy with school work right now I don't have time.
This spring I'm taking a video editing class for the IMac software, a journalism class, and a photography class. Journalism at this junior college really sucks. It's loaded with so much PC garbage (lies/propaganda) I feel like throwing up.
Unfortunately, in a lot of these classes you have to do the "crap projects" they assign to learn how to use the software, and are not allowed to work on something like a men's activism project.
The school bookstore offers an enormous software discount on Final Cut Pro. It's worth it to enroll in the college just for that discount. Student software discounts are awesome.
I have been using (getting by) making primitive videos with the video editing software that came with my Sony desktop computer.
I hear Sony makes a decent movie editing software called Sony Vegas Movie Studio, and Sony Vegas Movie Studio Pro, but have not used either.
