Quote
OSAMA BIN LADEN and Saddam Hussein had an operational relationship from the early 1990s to 2003 that involved training in explosives and weapons of mass destruction, logistical support for terrorist attacks, al Qaeda training camps and safe haven in Iraq, and Iraqi financial support for al Qaeda--perhaps even for Mohamed Atta--according to a top secret U.S. government memorandum obtained by THE WEEKLY STANDARD.

The memo, dated October 27, 2003, was sent from Undersecretary of Defense for Policy Douglas J. Feith to Senators Pat Roberts and Jay Rockefeller, the chairman and vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee. It was written in response to a request from the committee as part of its investigation into prewar intelligence claims made by the administration. Intelligence reporting included in the 16-page memo comes from a variety of domestic and foreign agencies, including the FBI, the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Central Intelligence Agency, and the National Security Agency. Much of the evidence is detailed, conclusive, and corroborated by multiple sources. Some of it is new information obtained in custodial interviews with high-level al Qaeda terrorists and Iraqi officials, and some of it is more than a decade old. The picture that emerges is one of a history of collaboration between two of America's most determined and dangerous enemies.

How did they obtain something like that? I had a cousin who worked with "top secret memos" sometimes and he says that they had to have 2 people sign for it and 2 combinations for the safe. He said it was some outdated stuff from the 80s too.

If it's real it was probobly an intentional leak unless they have a spy in the government or something.

You'd be surprised how often things get left out by mistake and picked up by the night cleaners. I've seen two guys lose their jobs over stupid security breaches like that.

I'm pretty sure it's real and I'm not sure how it was obtained..I heard about it from a third party.

One of Clinton's top security advisors was evidently on one the cable news shows the other night speaking about this and confirming most of what's reported here.

If I were more awake I would be able to give you better info.

For what it is worth the DOD issued a full denial of the contents of the alleged report:

Perhaps if the America hadn't funded both of them they wouldn't have gotten this close.

You are correct although you have to acknowlege the voice of the American people and their leftist/marxist political party line. I am a red blooded proud American who's political views are a dying breed. We are responsible for our own downfall because we fail to accept that this is a very divided world that will never co exist with our enemies. We will never be able to befriend any of them, the ideology of having our country become a melting pot for all people to come here and become one is wonderful, but in the end will consume itself. This is just as decided as the discussion over nudity and boudaries, they are consistant and we are not. If the US never helped, never meddled, never tried, we yell and scream at our elected members to be more compassionate. Compassion has to be seen in their eyes on their level, to create a balance. It was a lost cause to begin with, we should learn by our mistakes, and I truly believe we will, the hard way.
