Imagine waking up tomorrow to find
that unbelievably rape is now legal.

You would be freaking out, telling everyone you ran into this is crazy- something needs to be done... now!!! And then every man you told this to just very smugly and condescendingly says...

"Hey... not all men are 'like that.'"

Quentin0352

OMFG!!! That is hilarious!

Smart guy to dump her anyways since if she can't even pay enough attention to him to realize he tells her numerous times and even calls her to say goodbye for a couple of weeks then she doesn't really give a shit about anyone but herself!

PowerMan72

He should consider himself fortunate that he found all of this out BEFORE things got really serious. Can you imagine being married to this harpy?!!

Maybe it's just me, but I'm trying to understand how serious this relationship is when

1. He doesn't bring her on the trip with him.
2. He doesn't even talk to her about it beforehand to, you know, check to see if she's OK that he goes to Europe without her, for instance.

He just "phones" to say "Hey, it's me, I'll be in Europe for two weeks without you and without my phone on, see ya!" And he doesn't even try to make sure she got the message?

Seems there were two dysfunctional people in this relationship...

Mr. X

If the tables were turned I think a guy would check their facts first before flying off the handle. Like call the mom or friend etc. Plus you notice she didn't even think he might be dead in his apartment or something. She just assumes he dumped her.

Pressure makes diamonds. You want to see how messed up someone is... put them under pressure. he got to see what she is really like. He should count himself lucky.

Funny stuff but likely fiction.  Any guy who was gone for two weeks would at least send his gf a postcard.

But wouldn't it take a long time to arrive?  If he's in Europe for two weeks and sends a postcard at the end of the first week, it'll be towards the end of the trip that it gets delivered.

Still doesn't excuse any of the behavior. Again she NEVER assumed he might be injured, just assumed he dumped her. And she apparently never actually investigated where he went.

Never meant to imply that it did, Mr. X. I was merely attempting to add other considerations to the picture.

Definitely so; Europe's full of Internet cafés... I can even check my work mail through the Web, let alone gmail or somesuch. And this was the case 3 years ago, too.

That's funny as hell, even if it is fiction.

Still, I've known enough insane women to believe that it could be true...   :greener:
