If you use The Oxford Dictionary, at least the definition used must pass an approval board, prior to publication.
This point you bring up is very significant. If there is no uniform or standardized definition of sexism and racism, or if you can demonstrate that the definitions have been significantly altered over time, you can have an impact on litigation involving these two phenomena.
