One of the big problems with nagging and "peacefully relentless" thinking is that when the guy does do what the wife says, he never comes out ahead cause he's doing what she demanded he do anyway. The best he can hope for is today I won't get nagged. That has been my feeling on this. I NEVER do what I am nagged to do cause I see no benefit in the relationship for it. If I do the action I will merely being doing what I was supposed to do to begin with and so I'm never out of the dog house.
Also, if people have ever had dogs, you don't train a dog through constant nagging, it tends to bite you or stay away from you. You train the dog through positive rewards. When it stops barking and jumping and lays down THEN you give it a treat. When it goes to the back door to want to poop outside THEN you reward it. Yes you may also have to smack or use a choke chain but unless you catch the dog right in the act it won't work.
That's what's funny about these 'train men like a dog" type articles - they aren't training men like a dog. If they did it would require positive feedback which the female will NOT give.
Nagging like this isn't about getting the guy to do what the woman wants, its about excusing the female's abuse. It allows her to be constantly critical and condescending and believe she is doing it for a good cause.
How can you think you're nagging your guy when you're worried he's so unhealthy he might die? Honestly, that's not badgering-- that's trying to save his life! Training your man begins with training yourself to know the difference.
Its about excusing bad female behavior.
