Yes, I understand the security part --cleaning up the Frankenstein (Saddam) we (the US) created.

Daymar

Why would you think the U.S. created Saddam?

Rayden

Well, you know, there was this thing called the Iran-Iraq war, you might want to read about the US involvement in it.

D

My response was in regards to Amber saying that the almighty US was the ones who got Saddam, not Canada, or the French or whomever.

Canada wouldn't be stupid or selfish enough to put an ass like Saddam in control of a pet shop.

So I don't see the correalation of attributing such a slam against Canada.

The CIA did train Saddam, and the CIA also trained Osama.  Keep your head in the dirt next to them birds if you want.

:D

Daymar

The history I read about Saddam said that Saddam put himself in power. The U.S. may have given him weapons but that doesn't mean they put him in power.

Dan, you're being an elitist ass. Why don't you take a chill pill, eh?

D

Whatever.

So why did the Americans invade Iraq again?

"This scum bucket, as of this morning of December 14, 2003, was captured and detained, and all Iraqis can rest assured that they will never suffer terror at the hands of that monster ever again. It wasn't Canada that captured him; it wasn't Mexico; it wasn't Germany; it wasn't France: it was the United States, the freest, most capitalistic nation in the world today or ever. "

And if America is the freest nation in the world and ever, god help us.  Looks like that is crumbling to shit too.

Why do you think..? Because Bush said so. Stop trying to shovel this shit on to the peasants, whether it's right or wrong. It's interesting to note awhile back how you were complaining about Canadians being children and not standing up for themselves against feminism and how America wasn't as bad but now you seem to think America is stupid and Canada isn't dumb enough to do this or that.

Sir Jessy of Anti

Canadians are like that.  At work I take a pro-Bush stand, and I end up being the devil's advocate every time.  I'd say 95% of them are not pro-US.  I stand committed though to the ideals of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.

You have to understand that many Canadians self-identify simply as 'not-American' instead of  'Canadian' because your culture is so pervasive in our society.   Our culture tends not to vary greatly from yours, so it's this nationalistic thing that I can't understand apparently.

The other day I was asked why I didn't just leave, and this was because I was pro-US and critical of the political climate in Canada (while being pro-Canadian just not pro-socialist policy making).

Still not addressing my point.  And really, resorting to personal attacks, how leftist of you.

Don't lump me in with Canadians who believe our nationalistic propaganda stream because it's sugar coated.  Those fucking morons couldn't tie their shoes.

I wonder why they call it 'Socialism' it seems like quite the opposite in practice.

OK.  Well, your question is one that will be answered soon, possibly.

Yeah, I see what you mean.

OK Dan I am sorry I dissed Canada in my article.

I just wanted to put it in context.  People take it as natural that dictatorships fall the world over.  I just wanted to make a point of who is making that happen:  it is the freest nation on earth, the one that Chomsky-ites think are oppressing everyone.
he men's movement is a hate movement.

What feminism is to men; the men's rights movement is to women.

Men's rights activists blame misandry for all their problems in the same way that feminists blame the patriarchy.

The only thing men's rights activists are good at is abusing women.

And you can quote me on that.  :D

Daymar

"So why did the Americans invade Iraq again?"

Do you really expect me to be able to answer that? The only thing I can address is what kind of an impact the invasion has caused. For one there were several hundred thousand Iraqi lives saved because the economic sanctions imposed on Iraq, which were lifted by the invasion, caused the deaths of about 1.4 million people, imposed with the support of France, Russia and Germany I might add. I don't really see how you can complain about the few thousand Iraqis that died in the war when so many were saved. Saddam has been strongly linked with Osama so by invading we helped get rid of him and all the other terror tards. We got rid of Saddam who had a secret police force that kidnapped and killed people and he also ran a torture chamber. Etc.

"Oil has been a top priority since Bush came to office, why would anyone be suprised?"

How leftist of you to make assumptions like that without facts.

"You can't say, 'Canada didn't do fuck all. That it was all the US', when in fact it was their mess to clean up in the first place."

Oh, so if someone was on fire across the street you wouldn't even walk across it to piss on them? You didn't set them on fire so screw 'em right?
