I agree. It seems at least that libertarianism has appropriated some of the ideals of Rand, though from the few Objectivist club meetings I have attended, the feeling isn't exactly mutual.
I think Objectivism fails as a political ideology simply because it is not political
enough, which is unfortunate. For instance, you can't vote for it, it has no party to speak of, few issues seem to merit its attention etc.
