I have to agree.  The police would be put into a difficult position of having to touch intimately when they restrained.  It would surely put them into a bind and would have been pretty funny to watch.

I guess the point is that she did follow the order to lay down on the ground. Whether that should mean no charges is another question...

The article states she got got in the screen from her window after swinging the meat cleaver, trying to kill the police.  That's pretty glaring imagery, given her state of undress.  I wonder how many magazines of cop ammo a man would have had in him by that time if the genders had been reversed.

Isn't Portland Oregon the place where another older woman fought local authorities over the right to go buckass nekid? Wasn't there some kind of topless rally there a while ago?

I think you're right.  I seem to recall they have some kind of nudity law.
