Charlie Sheen Hospitalized after Naked Drunken Tirade
By Beth Shaw

Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen taken voluntarily to New York Presbyterian hospital at around 2:30 am this morning. Police received a 911 call at 2:07 a.m. for possible intoxication. The call resulted in an 'intoxicated, irrational' and 'emotionally disturbed' Sheen being hospitalized.

Apparently, Sheen has been in New York City to visit with his ex-wife, Denise Richards, and their two children. He was seen earlier in the evening going to his hotel room with an unidentified woman. There are reports that the incident was precipitated by Sheen discovering his wallet was missing after he apparently thought the unidentified woman left his room.

He was nude and apparently drunk, throwing furniture and yelling in his room. When police arrived, chairs had been thrown around the room and a chandelier was damaged.

It turns out that the unidentified woman was a hooker and had locked herself in a closet in the the Eloise suite of the Plaza Hotel to escape Sheen's wrath. She was also nude.

This incident comes just eight days before Sheen would have completed his probation after pleading guilty to assault in August. There isn't any word at this point as to how this morning's rampage will affect his probation, or his pre-nup with wife Brooke Mueller for that matter.

Entertainment
Why CBS And Warner Bros. Will Never Quit On Charlie Sheen
Oct. 26 2010 - 5:51 pm | 1 views | 1 recommendation | 0 comments
By LACEY ROSE

Another day, another Charlie Sheen meltdown. Multiple sources are reporting that the Two and a Half Men star was found naked and intoxicated after trashing a New York hotel room early Tuesday morning.

The news comes less than a year after the CBS star avoided jail time related to a charge that he had threatened his wife, Brook Mueller, at knife-point. This time around, his publicist is claiming an "adverse allergic reaction to some medication and was taken to the hospital."

Never mind the messy details, here's the most surprising thing about the ordeal: people continue to be surprised to hear Warner Brothers, the studio the produces Sheen's show, and CBS, the network that airs it, are standing by him (again)? And yes, not commenting or attempting to ignore the situation is the same thing in my book.

Of course they are. Sheen, after all, is a one-man profit center.
Sheen didn't make $30 million last year, a figure poised to soar this season care of his latest contract extension, because his bosses think he's a good, reliable guy. Judging from the endless stream of trouble he seems to find himself in, they're probably pretty convinced he's anything but - but it doesn't matter.

What matters is Two and a Half Men, the show he has carried for eight seasons, is the most-watched comedy in prime-time.Thus far this season, the sitcom is averaging 15.2 million viewers, a particularly impressive feat given both it's age and the increasingly fractured landscape it plays in. Among the all-important 18 to 49-year-old audience, it draws a highly competitive 5.2 rating. That translates to approximately $207,000 per ad, the second priciest live-action comedy in prime-time (behind NBC's lesser watched The Office), according to Advertising Age's annual report. Last season, it generated $155.1 million in CBS ad revenue for the Tifany network, reports Kantar Media. And none of that factors in the many millions in syndication revenue Warner Brothers (like Sheen) is raking in on an annual basis.

So until you see a) the show's ratings take a nose dive or b) Sheen's notorious behavior land him in jail for an extended period forcing production to be shut down, I don't imagine you'll be hearing much from those TV bosses of his.

Men's Rights Activist

But Hollywood is full of role models of sanity, and movies dedicated to good mental health.

Dunno about Sheen... Probably. Most people with fame and success are envied. Sheen still looks like he is being carless nonetheless.

Wow that movie looks really good.

In India crazy people are revered as "holy" in traditional culture. And in allot of older and traditional societies these people were actually able to integrate at some level by these available cultural mores.

Our society however is clearly too rigid an cannot accommodate these unique people. And it's actually arguable that for that very reason WE are the truly crazy people, because we cannot cope with that aspect of reality peacefully.

By his own admission, Charlie was smoking a pound and a half of cocaine every month at a certain point.

Yes it is a classic; the only story in my life which I've read in book form, watched on the big screen and even have seen a theater performance of it.

Oh christ its impressive he is still breathing
Imagine waking up tomorrow to find
that unbelievably rape is now legal.

You would be freaking out, telling everyone you ran into this is crazy- something needs to be done... now!!! And then every man you told this to just very smugly and condescendingly says...

"Hey... not all men are 'like that.'"

Nuts. His fault. Own up to it.

According to Shephard Smith, on FOXNEWS, Charlie's wife was in a suite right across the hall. She's the one who called for the cops. Also, The Plaza will not press charges for the damages.

Here's Charlie's side of the story from http://www.radaronline.com/:

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Charlie Sheen Breaks Silence, Tells Radar: 'Story Overblown & Overplayed'Charlie Sheen has broken his silence about his crazed coke and booze binge with a prostitute that left him in a New York hospital early Tuesday morning.

Speaking exclusively to RadarOnline.com, the Two and a Half Men star downplayed claims he trashed his posh room at The Plaza Hotel, in a frantic bid to find his wallet and cell phone after partying with a hooker.

"Oh my man, I'm fine," he told RadarOnline.com's Senior Executive Editor Dylan Howard, when asked about his condition after being carted off to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.

Sure it will; there's no such thing as bad press in Hollywood. If he wouldn't have pulled this stunt, his agent would have had to place some fake outrage in the news.

You don't hear anything from his father Charlie Sheen or his brother Emilio Estevez, do you? Did they drop off the face of the earth?
