Proof of citizenship is a big peeve with me.

I have talked to foreigners living in Canada, who say that they will not be seeking Canadian citizenship, because they have all the benefits now.  They vote and travel and enjoy every social service that a Canadian gets.  They say that citizenship is a joke. 

I believe that everyone voting should be required to prove citizenship, period.   

I would have thought that Americans would be smarter than us on this point.

Well put! It pisses me off that "every vote must count" but the idea I must provide proof of citizenship for the right to own a gun, walk down the street if a cop asks for it and etc while voting doesn't require it and military votes are pushed aside as not allowable to be counted.

So why is it they want proof for only SOME rights under the constitution but not others, ALL votes to count except those of the people defending the country and that right? Simple, they want the POWER and care nothing about the laws, constitution or anything else as long as they get it and BOTH parties are that way.

Umm where does he mention that he is okay with the bailouts or TARP in that video? Add that $3.77 pull all the other transfer payments that "poor slob" gets and multiply it by the 60 or so million members of the leach class and it adds up to significantly moor than 700 billion over they 50 years or so of the welfare state here in the USA. His complaint is that the leaches that vote for the Neo-Socialists who promise them bread and circuses have more voting rights than soldiers fighting to keep the nation safe. Do me a favor since you are Canadian, get with your government and press themmto open your borders up to all the US project dwellers and you can foot the bill for them. But you guys pay for it that way you can be understanding and generous with your own money.

His complaints were numerous, but he didn't mention the $700 billion corporate welfare, so I figured he must be OK with it.

Paul, he has an issue with voter fraud. Banks do not get to vote. A CEO's vote means no more than a welfare recipients vote. It is irrelevant to this topic that we subsidize most of the large businesses in this country, from big agriculture to banks to auto manufacturers.

He is angry that the democrats go out of their way to make sure welfare recipients and illegals get to vote (and who coincidentally vote D), yet the people in our military serving overseas were left to fend for themselves in situations which may prevent them from voting(who coincidentally tend to vote R). He is right to be angry.  We certainly should have to prove US citizenship to vote, and we should have made sure every service member was able to vote months ago so on election day their votes would count. Of anyone, service members have the most entitlement to vote because they have earned it the most.
