Check out this campaign. I've already grown the Magnum PI and I may try for the Old West Villain by the end of the month.   :toothy9:

That's a groovy idea. Everyone will ask why you are growing a mustache and then you will have to tell them about prostate cancer. This will raise awareness. Sweet.  :sunny:

I just heard about it on the radio.  :engel2:

My wife is not excited about me having a mustache.

Just tell her that it's your body - your right.

September was prostate awareness month.

That's what I thought... But you know... it's not like it' important or nothin... Right?  I mean, the MSM didn't even mention it - so it doesn't matter.

I didn't know that either. This campaign however has been on our national news more than  few times today here in canada, so this approach seems to be getting some attention which is good.

Bravo!  Great stuff.  Loved the vid and the ideas to promote awareness.  Good thinking.

It doesn't really matter what month, it is just good to see some press. I heard on the radio today on colo-rectal cancer, and they actually tried to say Lance Armstrong made us all aware of prostate cancer. He may have made a small dent, but the only cancer we actually hear about is breast cancer.

This is the combination of Movember with Prostate Awareness Month. A smooth move!

[P.S., great thread!]

Men's Rights Activist

How did Lance Armstrong make us more aware of prostate cancer?

Lance Edward Armstrong (born Lance Edward Gunderson on September 18, 1971) is an American professional road racing cyclist who is best known for winning the Tour de France a record seven consecutive times, after having survived testicular cancer.

Life, Liberty, & Pursuit of Happiness are fundamental rights for all (including males), & not contingent on gender feminist approval or denial. Consider my "Independence" from all tyrannical gender feminist ideology "Declared" - Here & Now!

The Biscuit Queen

Good point. Apparently all male cancer is the same. They specifically mentioned prostate cancer, not testicular cancer.

"Movember" has been around for several years now. So has Prostate Cancer Awareness
Month. This was a brilliant idea to combine the two ... for greater public awareness of both!

Are we gonna nit-pick here or what?

How about growing a full beard, until we get our constitutional rights back re: presumption of innocence, burden of proof on our accusers, beyond a reasonable doubt, etc.

I can try but I don't think Dave will appreciate it.

I was gonna say something snarky about beards, women and mollusks but decided against it....
