Not a single mention of IMD on Google News headlines today.  When I did a search of the term on Google News, I found just one mention of it by a mainstream American news outlet.  It's just a short blurb among other events listed for this day.  Considering the holiday started 11 years ago, I'd expect a few more articles by now, but I think the mainstream media is willfully ignoring this holiday for obvious reasons.

The Great American Smokeout overshadows it. I think we ought to lobby to move the date. As it is, IMD is sandwiched between Veterans Day and Thanksgiving. Actually, Thanksgiving wouldn't be a bad day to pick for celebrating it.
