I never said any feminist wasn't worth talking to, and I am sure some feminists are truly upset by these cultural trends. However:

~ Mainstream feminism (NOW eg) is silent on these issues, while the offending songs, films, shows, etc are mainstream.

~ Your friends sounds very reasonable, and based on my interaction with feminists, she is not typical. Her views are pretty much the same as mine, except I do not believe in the patriarchy myth.

~ For clarification, the patriarchy myth is the idea that men have ruled society through intimidation and women as a group have been oppressed. The truth is that the wealthy have ruled society through control of resources and brute force (or threat of force), and that the poor have been systematically oppressed up until the industrial revolution. Men and women both have been advantaged by wealth, and disadvantaged by poverty.

Mr. Nagendra - could you give us an explanation as to why exactly you come here? Is it to bust balls? Are you a man on a mission of some kind? Is this a feeble attempt to direct traffic to feminist websites? Do you just need to get out more often?

Clarence, I would appreciate you simply directing your friend here if she wishes to speak to us. I am not frequenting feminist sites, and have no plans to do so. I am uncomfortable with you taking my statements there for everyone to dismantle without my ability to defend them. I have no issue with talking to her here, as I know the rules here will make sure everyone is polite and on point, and your friend seems very reasonable. 

I have realized that online, people know what they think they know. When I used to travel to feminist websites it did not matter what I said, how polite I was, or how much data I brought backing my point of view; I was dismissed as an extremist, told I was hostile, and accused of hating women or being brainwashed by these evil MRA men before being banned from the sites for not bowing to the majority rules.

I did none of these things the feminists accused me of, and I quickly realized they would not see the truth if it came up and bit them in the nose. I would be more than happy to talk to your friend, but I will not do so in the very hostile arena of a feminist blog.

Well, this is the issue with posting on a public forum. Unless we go the way of Ms Pig, anyone is able to see these boards. I don't have an issue with that, but it is really bad form to do what Clarence did. As I said, he is welcome to bring folks here. We always give people a chance if they stick by the very reasonable rules.

Well put reply BQ and along the lines I was thinking. You are also correct in that it would be best if she came here instead for the reasons you mentioned. I gave up posting on feminist sites because you are cussed out, attacked, called a liar, stalked and banned rapidly. Some feminists are reasonable but experience says the vast majority can't handle their beliefs being challeneged in any way with any kind of evidence or they have an emotional meltdown. I am stalked, threatened, harassed and etc in real life by my ex enough, I don't need mentally unstable psychos on the net doing it too.

Actualy it isn't worth talking to feminists on their message boards because they ban you and delete what you write if they don't like what you say or if you have the audacity to challenge their group think.
