That video is a joke... I wrestled in High School.. he was not even trying to do legal pins.  You could also see him intentionally not using his hands a few times.. like he didn't know where to put em...

There were at least four situations where he could have done a elbow-crotch to a crab, Turk hold or even a simple nelson.  Shit, he even had two situations where he could have done a suplex (not legal in HS wrestling but)... Stupid.

The story on the news was more about how tough girls can be but are victimized by patriarchal ideals (girls not able to play) instead of how there's an ethical dilemma about boys in physical competition with girls.

Of course they took the "powerful victim" slant like they always do.

This was the best YouTube video I could find TMOTS. The rest were all guys acting out masochistic fantasies of being dominated by a skinny little chick. It wasn't long ago I put up a thread about Andy Kaufman and intergender wrestling, in which I was able to post videos of realistic encounters between male and female wrestlers (Now that I think of it, they weren't taken from YouTube, but from another source).

Any word on how this girl did in the rest of the tournament? Being the only girl, she would have had to wrestle a boy in the quarterfinals. How did that go? Another default? Is she state champion now?

But it deprived her of the chance to show the skills that earned her a 20-13 pre-tournament record.

How did this girl practice? Did she only wrestle girls? Was this match to be her first one ever against a male? If she practiced with males, has anyone spoken to them about how they treated her? If she wrestled against males previously, what happened then? She has a 20-13 pre-tourney record, was this all against males?

I'm anxious to get more background here.
