Paul McCartney, Nancy Shuvell to wed in London

LONDON (AP) -- Paul McCartney is set to tie the knot at the venue where he first married more than 40 years ago.

Officials say the former Beatle and fiancee Nancy Shevell have posted a notice of intention to marry at London's Marylebone Register Office.

Westminster Council said the notice was posted Wednesday, meaning the couple could marry anytime after September 30.

Alison Cathcart, Westminster City Council's superintendent registrar, said Friday she would be officiating and was "delighted that Paul and Nancy have chosen Marylebone Town Hall for their special day."

McCartney married his first wife Linda at the venue in 1969. She died of cancer in 1998, and he later married Heather Mills. They divorced in 2008.

McCartney's spokesman had no immediate comment.

I wish him luck.

I do think this sends an unfortunate message. He essentially sends the message that men will do the marriage thing no matter what.

No matter how oppressive marriage becomes, men will keep doing it.

Paul McCartney at White House,

"It's a fantastic honor (for) the Gershwin family to give me this incredible award and for me to be awarded it by the Library of Congress. And in fact, after the last eight years, it's great to have a president who knows what a library is," McCartney said, drawing cheers from the audience.  :angryfire:

Asshole doesn't have a President, he has a prime minister. Fuckhead never became a citizen.

IDK, his first marriage was a true gift, he was very happy, they were mutually devoted, and treated each other well. His second marriage was obviously the opposite due to Heather Mills being a psychopath. So he is playing 50/50 odds in his mind. He really loved being married to his first wife, and wants to be happy again. I wish him luck, and pray his new wife is more like his first.

I know you all want him to swear off women forever, or at the very least marriage, but it is his choice. I didn't think we wanted to be like feminists, who feel heterosexual relations are all rape or at the very least oppression.

Hi BQ.  Good to see you.  Speaking for myself....Sir Paul is just finishing paying off his last wife.  He hasn't had time to even start to heal from that mess and rather than get a breather she apparently jumps back in.  From my perspective this is definitely a fool on the hill move.  No one said anything about all men.  Your reference to being like feminists is a low blow.

She's some kind of heiress. And a socialite.

"Socialite /n/: not bright enough to be an actress, too illiterate to be a reporter, too off-key to be a singer, too ugly to be a model, not good enough in the sack to be a porn star, yet not poor enough to be ignored."

Perhaps, dre.    I don't understand what the man did to deserve being called an a$$hole or f*ckhead. That is what I was responding to. Certainly "you all" was very poor wording on my part and for that I apologize. Obviously not everyone thinks the same way.

I think the reference to asshole and fuckhead were not connected to marriage but were about his lack of knowledge.

I was speaking politics. While G. Bush was never my favorite conservative (He was a RINO), Paul was perpetuating the left's right-hating propaganda that Bush was stupid. (The man had an MBA!) Excuuuuuse me, Paul. You're a mindless, drugged out, pussy-whipped FOREIGN musician. What you know about American politics is none of your business in the first place. and probably comes from reading the Russian Times or Pravda.

These entertainers continue to piss me, and the rest of conservative America, off   :angryfire: by opening their leftist pie-holes about politics, but they still want conservative money. I simply say "No!". I boycott them. When Sir Paul comes on the radio, I change the station. When Julia ("Republican comes in the dictionary just after reptile and just above repugnant") Roberts' movies come on, I change the channel. Same for Matt Damon and a host of other Hollywood screwballs. I DON'T go to the movies, I'd rather spend my money on canine charities anyway.

To sum it up, while my post was off topic about him being pussy-whipped, the message "goes to character", yer honor.
