Wikipedia says:

Quote
English common law defined the crime of seduction as a felony committed "when a male person induced an unmarried female of previously chaste character to engage in an act of sexual intercourse on a promise of marriage."

In more modern times, Frank Sinatra was charged in New Jersey in 1938 with seduction, having enticed a woman "of good repute to engage in sexual intercourse with him upon his promise of marriage. The charges were dropped when it was discovered that the woman was already married."

It looks to me like men were oppressed until very recently.

Rigid gender-based roles were oppressive to both genders. Feminists have successfully hypnotized the public into believing that they were only oppressive to women.

The joke is that women have burst their bonds and no longer have to follow the rigid gender-based roles. If she wants to work, she can be an astronaut or marine biologist; if she wants to sit on her fat ass, she can just marry a guy.

On the other hand, men are still bound to their gender role, and, in fact, feminists are pushing for MORE rigidity for men. Men better "step up" and "be a real man" in any area that intersects with women.

We aren't going to go backwards to a time when women have to make dinner all day in a skirt and high heels at home. We're just not going back to that. So it would be best to make it clear to all the chivalrous men that if a woman is going to have everything available to her, she has to have the accompanying responsibility. Chivalrous men and feminists - and simply lazy women - are all working against that notion of women having the same responsibility as men.

And:

Rigid gender-based roles were brought about by NATURE, not by the "patriarchy".

Even a hundred years ago, most people lived in a rural setting. Work outside the home was absolutely tough and required lots of physical strength and stamina. The household inventions that exist today - and that eliminate any real work on the part of a housewife if kids are not involved - didn't exist. Working the farm was a full-time, physically taxing, strenuous job with some jobs requiring a man. Taking care of the household, cooking etc. was a full-time strenuous job and if she couldn't do some of the physical work on the farm she could contribute in that way. That's nature, not patriarchy.

The latter job has been eliminated. Now it is the place that lazy women occupy, supported by their moronic chivalrist enablers. I'll excuse those women from responsibility - if they shut their mouths and quit trying to act like they know something about the world - but for normal women who work, they are going to have to take the same responsibility as men.
