I noticed in the penalty phase that even the female defense attorney - who had previously whispered with Jodi like they were best buds - is just recoiling in disgust from this woman.

I heard a news report that her lawyers tried to quit after the guilty verdict.

The judge wouldn't let them.

They are now joined at the hip with a murderer.

Serves these people right.

I'm almost - almost - starting to feel sorry for this woman. She fell from the high perch of entitlement that most American women have today, with men chasing them left and right and paying for everything, to a realization in the last few days that this is not a game.

It's already sealed that she is going to spend most if not all of the rest of her life in prison, now she could actually get the death penalty. And no one, not even this flightly Womack chick, wants to stick up for her now. Jodi is going to have to address the jury alone tomorrow. And the jury is NOT sympathetic.

Nor should they be.

Watch the tear's flow in an attempt at leniency.

They put in a motion to be allowed to quit representing her because of that interview she gave immediately after the verdict where she went on her usual drama queen way about how she prefers death to being in "one place". The lawyers said that they can't work for a client who isn't working with them. I guess the judge just wants to get it over with, one way or other; letting the (public defender) lawyers quit at this point would have postponed the remainder of the trial at least for weeks if not months (having new defenders assigned, them familiarizing themselves with the case &c. &c.)

I'm watching Jodi's address to the jury right now. It is just embarrassing. She should just keep her mouth shut.

Galt

She just showed some T-shirt that she is going to sell and give the proceeds to domestic violence groups. She still can't stop taking a poke at the jury, saying "I know some don't believe I was the victim of domestic violence, oh well" - or something like that.

Now it's on to her childhood.

This is truly sickening.

Jodi Arias tells jury she can contribute from prison if she's allowed to live

Quote
Standing confidently but at times her voice breaking, she told the same eight men and four women who found her guilty of first-degree murder that she planned to use her time in prison to bring about positive changes, including donating her hair to be made into wigs for cancer victims, helping recycle trash and designing T-shirts that would raise money for victims of domestic abuse.

Did I hear her right?

I shot him, slit his throat and stabbed him 27 times as an ambush, while he was taking a shower.

I should be allowed to live so I can teach Spanish, Sign Language, and form Book Clubs. as well as donate my hair ... my luscious, luxurious hair .... and my "survivor" T-shirts ....
and run drugs [for which I have a great aptitude already] and come out as a lesbian and
get married and ......  :icon_cyclops_ani: :cyclo: :tongue2:

We need a cuckoo smilie here.

She could deliver self-defense courses for fellow inmates, too.

I had to shut down you tube after a few seconds.

I am not sure I understand my feelings, but I just couldn't watch it.

dr e

Can you smell it??

:ppass:

Imagine a man who brutally murdered his wife telling the jury he was going to live a life of service in prison!  LOL

If you watch her last, short address to the jury in the penalty phase (I'm sure it's on You-Tube somewhere), she just seems kind of emotionless.

I had the feeling I was watching a PowerPoint presentation by a saleswoman who wasn't particularly keen about her job - trying to get me to buy the vacuum cleaners of her company.

When HLN and CNN interview women in the crowd they get mostly the same response with this whole presentation bullsh*t.

"Why is this freakshow getting the opportunity to have her voice heard?! Travis is dead! She KILLED him!! She TOOK his voice!!!"

I'm glad that there are women out there that will see past their own gender and know what is wrong.
ell she turned me into a NEWT!! A newt?! Er..., well I got better.

Pussy Pass still alive?

It didn't save her from conviction but it may save her from death?

Obviously, it is highly unlikely that a jury would have difficulty putting a man to death in this context.

I say this while realizing I suffer from the same "pussy pass."

I find it hard to consider killing a young, reasonably attractive woman.

It just goes against socialization and nature.

I can't help but believe that if she'd --say -- only shot and killed him in the shower, she'd probably be going free.  She just went too far overboard really.
