I certainly see your point, davis2ab: even Jodi Arias has her supporters, when her psychopathy sticks out so much she could have used that to stab Alexander to death "in self-defense" 27 times + cut his throat with.
Would Dorner killed the captain who (unsuccessfully) represented him, or even the female officer who reported his performance as unsatisfactory, there might have beeen room for taking his complaints (somewhat) seriously. Murdering in cold blood two people who were entirely uninvolved in the case just to deliver effective revenge makes him a nasty psycho.
It is very telling, though, that the LAPD is willing to revisit the question of his firing on racial grounds: accusations of racism are a potent weapon while accusations of sexism (misogyny) coming from a male are to be ignored routinely. (Of course this doesn't mean that crimes motivated by racial animus to be ignored: only that there's a fundamental double standard when it comes to sexism. But we're aware of that.)
This is why I was saying over the years that men need to create & fund their own public interest law firms: worthy cases of anti-male policy & actions should be aggressively litigated. Feminists did not acquire political power just by bitchin' & moanin': they got organized & effective. This is a step which men can't skip: "justice" (or even the law) doesn't operate by itself.
