I'm just a little surprised not to see any commentary or writing to my knowledge up to now in these parts of the internet( manosphere) on the looming shutdown.
To be honest, there is more confusion than rejoycing on my part.
But as an adherent of libertarian thought, less government seems to be the right direction. And, apparently, there is very little possibility of implementing any reductions by forethought. So, let's bring this all to crisis where one hopes that the most essential functions of government prevail over the superfluous or even detrimental in this fight for funding. Of course, it is difficult to see how this all will play out. Maybe they will just keep digging a deeper hole. As you opine,
IMO things have room to get worse before it gets better -- if at all.
It makes me think of the maxim that markets can be insane longer than you can remain solvent.
