The guy on the left is a bit hard to take with his condescending chivalry. He's the type of guy who is going to be paying hefty alimony in 10 years.

Damn.  My hat is off to the good Doctor.  She is really sticking up for men amidst the typical brainwashed bullshit of robotic men and women.

Three cheers for the doc!

Without a doubt.

If the government takes my job away from me and gives it to a woman, why should I feel obligated to support her when she gets tired of working? She wanted my job. Now she is stuck with it. I hope she likes it.
Affirmative Action: The federal government takes your job away from you and gives it to a woman. Then she sneers at you because you are unemployed.

That's a good point you made there Iron John - on watching the video again more attentively even the guy to her left looked happy by the end - of course to be fair he may have been playing devils advocate initially anyway.  :)

No, i don't think these media types play devil's advocate unless it is something they don't like. Have you ever heard one of them play devil's advocate with a feminist?  No way. No they were mouthing their own programming and brainwashing.  Big red pill indeed!

In the UK every time Mike Buchanon (he who has founded the JMB party - Justice For Men and Boys) appeared either on national TV or Radio he was put up against one or more very hostile feminists (this would be in addition to the presenters) and the sneering, ad hominems and sarcasm would be pretty much non stop. Maybe it's because Dr Helen is female or US talk shows are a lot more respectful towards their guests but nevertheless no one was sneering at Dr Helen by the end of the piece in fact they were all quite courteous and pleasant and that included the guy who was laying it on with the men should suck it all up crap. It was that contrast that made me speculate as I did. :)

Thats Tucker Carlson, neo-con/trad-con blind faither idiot (founder of the Daily Caller website after he was booted from MSNBC as a token conservative there). He's of the William Bennett/Kay Hymowitz school of conservative. He can admit that things are bad but one should jump head first into that briar patch. Which is fine, except that he won't come out swinging either and go the whole distance. He'd be an evil patriarchal misogynist bastard then or something. He'll fight the progressive left but in the end still buys into the corporate facism/crony capitalism that exists and is perpetuated by the "right wing".

I used to be just a straight-up, blind-to-anything-else republican voter 30 years or so ago. Guys like him are what caused me to rethink that.

It's funny that I knew everything in my early 20s, and I don't anymore. I can even see certain left-wing / democratic positions of having empathy with people and the positions they were handed in life, but not yet enough that I am going to completely let my brain fall out of my head.

In any case, Tucker Carlson will probably deserve what he harvests later in life.

The "controversial" new book?
I don't get it. To who? (whom?)
What was controversial in her book?

Yeah, devils advocate-ish. You think it was a "casual" reference to the "doofy dad" advertising trend for non-essential stuff?
And the "casual" reference to "But..but...men get happy companionship" drivel?

Yeah, it was "set up" for her to cover what's in the book.
The bit about "No one will listen to a man" bit was a nice jab....
