Does anyone know what to do about Youtube?

It's getting quiet on this forum. 

Youtube wants me to use my actual name as the Youtube name. As I have received multiple Youtube messages containing death threats from feminists, it does not seem advisable.

So I changed my Google name and adopted that as my Youtube name. This should help with my personal safety, but I am still not able to make comments on videos. When I try, a page is displayed and disappears before I can read it. It appears to be blank anyway.

I notice that few other people have changed to their personal names. How are they getting away with it?

Any ideas. Please....

Yeah, google is trying to get everyone to use their real name. The underlying reason is that it is connected to their new semantic search ideas.  They envision turning the internet into a web of people rather then a web of web sites.  Pray google never becomes big brother.

Death threats from feminists?  But I thought that they weren't violent. 

If you're getting those, the persons responsible should be reported to law enforcement as well as YouTube.

Hi guys.

I feel like we are the old men of the movement. Are we still in the middle of it or is every MRA off doing something else?

Soon, I will have a lot more time to get back into MRA stuff. Can hardly wait. And everything else that's fun. Next summer, hiking and biking and swimming and boating. Yes.

Anyway, real names make no sense. What about kids who make a weekly blog. They will put their real names? Might as well include their street address and phone number too then.

Yes, lots of death threats. But that was a while back. I deleted them, because they made me feel bad. There could be a few left in the video comments. 6,000 comments to look through though. You know the police would do nothing mens_issues.

But the real point is that nobody else is using their real names on Youtube. I see "Men are Good" and "Begood4000" etc. How do they get away with it?

I would ask them, but I can't post any comments.

Even if you can't help me, its nice to "see" you guys again.

Since I have been away from SYG, I realise that it is hard to keep going on men's issues without a peer group of like minded people.

It seems ok at first but then I start to drift and wonder if anything matters as long as I have food and heat.

And there is not much time left over anyway.

But SYG can bring it all back into focus and it seems important again.

Refuse. Protect your privacy on all levels.
  1. Get some three or four internet aliases on facebook, twitter, google+, myspace, emails, etc.
      Start with the emails, then facebook, use that account to "prove" your identity on google+, and so on.
  2. Use Tor.  https://www.torproject.org/

  4. Find something else than Youtube. Must be a lot. I am not interested in video, so I cannot give advice.

There is an all out assault on privacy and freedom now. I upgraded my laptop to 8.1 today, but I see they want all my computer data stored on their "cloud" MS storage. I disabled that (assuming disabling was not just a deception), but now I need an MS password just to start my computer. I bet that goes to MS, so they know every time you turn on your computer. I should try it with internet access turned off.

Google is working for NSA and is demanding names so they can collect data on dissenters who challenge the Obama regime or those who believe 911 is an inside job & such. DO NOT USE YOUR REAL NAME. I still can't comment on any Youtube video. Youtube has become a piece of trash since it was hooked up to Google-.

We should never let companies create monopolies. Afterwards, they have contempt for the customers. I have already posted my videos on Dailymotion.

I have two accounts there, but don't use my real name on either.  When they start bugging me for more info, I just go to my bookmarks and try to get in again, or try other ways to get where I want to be like typing my Youtube name in Bing, or logging out, then logging back in.
