As "forwarded" by the Memorandum click-fodder mill.
I shit you not. SOME value for those interested in intellectual amusement.
Perhaps a few folks willing to "register" at Mr. Kos' site (and the like) may begin to educate his regular readers.
Don't forget to visit the "sources" of his "independent investigation".
Be polite of course, but bear in mind that such folks "followers" ALSO have limited tools to get a rise out of others.

"Well, it's complicated"
I recommend "Um...no, it is not"

EDIT to ADD: From the piece...complete with trigger warning.

Trigger Warning: Violence against Women

Last Night in Santa Barbara California, a Gunman in a BMW opened fire on students near the UC Santa Barbara campus in Isla Vista. Seven are dead including the gunman, with a further seven injured.

Um...by the way, three of the dead were his male housemates killed with a knife, one of those shot was a male deli clerk.
Two were "random" females. And of course, himself. No idea about the wounded.
Apparently, it turns out that he actually subscribed to a leftist "site", while occasionally finding solace at a gym rat chat room.
I could be wrong about the last bit, depends who you believe.
I sure as hell don't recognize this guy from ANY of the man o'sphere, where I surf,  then again, I don't get around like I used to.

I have been following this debate quite closely at AVFM. Elliot Rodgers did subscribe to a couple of PUA channels on YouTube, but mostly he was active at PuaHate.com which is an anti-PUA board. Generally he was angry at women because he couldn't get laid, and he was angry at PUAs because they couldn't help him get laid. There is no evidence that he was ever an MRA. Some PUAs, namely Roosh and his followers, consider themselves to be MRAs, but most MRAs consider them to be an embarassment.

What is happening now is that a number of pro-feminist outlets such as SPLC, The DailyKos, Jezebel, and all of the usual suspects, are using this incident in a blatant attempt to smear MRAs. Either they know nothing about the men's movement, or they are being intentionally deceitful. I find it hard to believe that they know nothing about the men's movement.

In 2006, a woman named Jennifer Sanmarco killed 7 people in Goleta, CA, which is adjacent to Isla Vista.  It was the largest mass murder by a woman in the U.S.  Interestingly, all but one of her victims were women, and she was known for hostility toward minorities.  She was obviously insane:

The Goleta postal facility shootings were a spree killing by Jennifer San Marco (December 6, 1961 - January 30, 2006), a former US Postal Service employee who shot and killed seven people in Goleta, California on January 30, 2006, before taking her own life.

The media at the time made an effort to point out how unusual it is for a woman to do such a thing.  Oddly, the MSM hasn't brought up Jennifer Sanmarco's killing spree, nor the fact that she targeted minorities.

They are, and will continue to be, intentionally deceitful.

They have made careers and bureaucracies from generalizing the behavior or sociopaths and implicating all men.  This is what they have been doing for decades.  The amazing thing is that the general public is too stupid or too drunk on the pussy pass that they simply don't see the hatred.

False accusations are a bitch and nearly impossble to disprove.  False accusations on a global level are worse. People believing the panicked brays of women claiming to be tied to the tracks is downright nauseating.

These people are intentionally lying.  False accusers need to be punished severely.

"False accusers need to be punished severely."
Well, that can be a problem when they vote "special" exceptions for themselves, with "special" rule for critics.
As usual, see: The Rise and Fall of The Third Reich.

This is one of the many reasons that I am not an MRA, because MRAs need to avoid what is publicly embarrassing to remain politically viable, even though they can never actually win politically.  What a waste.  I embrace what is embarrassing to modern culture because I reject modern culture.  I am sympathetic to Elliot Rodger and I never hesitate to say so.  Elliot Rodger was influenced by some parts of the men's movement, but not by MRAs.  Anyone interested in a non-MRA perspective on Elliot Rodger can read the discussions about him here:
