Jessica Simpson gets catty and cozy, when she poses for next month's Vanity Fair. But does America's favorite "Newlywed" play up her role as a ditzy blonde for the cameras? In the article, Editor Krista Smith writes that Jessica may actually have an IQ up there with Albert Einstein.
In fact, Jessica's mom says her daughter's IQ is in the 160s. "The genius IQ is from Tina Simpson," Smith revealed. "I do think the ditziness is played up a bit on MTV. I think it's edited in a very clever way."

But Jessica's TV ratings are what MTV keeps track of. And the network is extremely pleased with the success of her show, which is now in its second season.

And although Simpson is famous for her revealing outfits and sexy videos, when she married husband Nick Lachey, Jessica was a virgin. "She did say that her decision to keep her virginity was more of a traditional thing," Smith told us. "Her belief in God did have something to do with it, but it wasn't entirely motivated by that."

But since she's tried it, Simpson reveals that she likes it. So is a baby next? "No babies," Simpson insisted. "I am definitely not pregnant."

Who cares what her IQ is? Nick sits back on the couch while she brings home the bacon. He probably thinks to himself every day, "Yeah, I'm hittin' that."

I caught some of one of the episodes of Newlyweds once. I loved the scene where Nick is hauling furniture up the stairs with a friend and says, in an exasperated post dealing with Jessica way, "sometimes I wish I had a gun, I'd shoot myself." And his friend replies, "why would you shoot *yourself*?"

You have to realize that Sharon Stone, the woman in "Beetlejuice" (can't remember her name) and many other actresses have put out press notices that they have a high IQ.

If I were a famous actor, I'd make that up too.  Pamela Anderson now has a novel out (I read it was ghost-written by someone else).  Suzanne Summers always emphasized that she only played a stupid woman, but "blond doesn't mean you're stupid".

It doesn't mean you're smart, either, because you play a stupid person or are blond.

Once you get famous, you can do all things, and people worship you left and right.  Of course you are extremely intelligent.  Presenting a strict test under controlled conditions is not necessary.

That's kind of why Barbara Streisand is completely convinced that her suggestions are right for the Democratic Party.  Many of the Hollywood types just know that they are right (I mean ... left).
