Even if those stats she gave were correct, I don't think any of it would be mens' fault. I remember reading a study about anorexia that found the incidence of anorexia to be just as high in certain African cultures, where it is common for fat to be interpreted as a symbol of sexual maturity, fertility, strength and wisdom.
But we don't need that information anyway to debunk the myth that women become anorexic because they fear men will think they're fat. Just look at womens' and mens' magazines. The womens' mags will feature 'beautiful', tall, thin model-type women whereas the mens' mags will feature sexy, curvy babes with big tits.
'Nuff said - but feminists still try to frame it as a gender issue, just as they have done with the abortion issue and whether pregnant women are discriminated against at work or not.
