What you say about men's awareness of the effects of feminism is true. If you get a moment, over in the main forum under the Larry Summers issue I made a mentioning of men being whipped by feminist ideas in campus ministries. The few active Christians I know can not only see it, but verbalize that what they are seeing is, to say the least, awful. At this time we have now formed a small group of men (not the same as a ministry "small group") that studies the Bible independantly. And that group is growing exponentially; we had three young men and a mentor (about 60, never married) this time last year, and now there are about ten to fifteen who come to the weekly barbecue, with two men teaching other groups of three and six, and the mentor teaching another group of eight. All of this came from the simple fact that all of the new people are here because one of us asked, "Are you really sure about what you believe? Here, let me show you what I have found..." And while I can only see as far as what is happening in Christian ministries, and even then only as far as my campus, I have no doubt that this is happening elsewhere. You are right, I can sense it from time to time from what others are saying.
If you are wondering how I got into the Men's Movement... I remember a case from my (state-required) health class, in which a DV speaker was brought in... a pussy-whipped male. All of our questions were directed at his definitions and his sources: rape and DV, and the punishments for them, were entirely ambiguous, and the rape numbers were adjusted for the "women who were too afraid to report." I was floored at how empty the speakers words were, and how he was in a state of fear after we asked simple questions... indeed, even though I might be nervous when presenting on research, I can still answer questions like "where did you get your numbers?" with ease, you don't have any credibility otherwise.
And after the DV talk I realized that DV experts aren't as credible as I once thought...
However, the question still remains, how will we organize? What will we direct our efforts against? I am very new to the Movement, so I am still trying to size up what I should put my efforts into for the next three years I will have at college.
